  1. Black’s articles usually comprise a 75% score before going completely off the rails for 25% but this one rates higher.

  2. John, it’s opinion, and opinions are peppered with personal bias, and, are based as much on what one does not know, as what one does know.
I agree with Lance in that it is “comical” when an elitists calls out elitists. Mostly Black hits the mark, and I laffed at his Archie Bunker reference, but it does show a certain level of ignorance to the why of Brexit and the Trump effect.

  3. The same Conrad Black endorsed the idiot man child puppet Trudeau, whos victory put Canada back into the hands of the same sort of political power elites Black criticizes here. He didn’t seem too concerned about the pontential of elites ruling us then.
Black writes with a flourish, but I agree with John as to the results.

  4. That’s a pretty decent article to ease those brainwashed by the MSM’s hardcore propaganda back to a more balanced view.
Last night, I had the pleasure of sharing a few drinks and laughs with a group of neighbors. Now, it wasn’t long before the Brexit topic came up and one gentleman(not really) started a mild rant about the results. I let him go on long enough to determine that he was doing nothing more than reciting all the media’s bigoted rhetoric and then stepped in.
Now, thanks to the freedom of the internet and sites such as this, I was well equipped to counter his entire argument. BUT most spectacularly to me, was how EVERYONE listened intently when I described the quality reasons for supporting an exit. Most had never even HEARD this POV, being willful victims of the leftist media bias.
My final argument, as we enjoyed a beautiful evening in Southern BC, was how would you vote if decisions about our lives here were made in Mexico City and you were powerless to vote these people out? Or, if hundreds of millions of North Americans could freely cross our borders to come compete for your job and your housing, and overwhelm our health and welfare systems? I know I got through to some because the last few whimpers of protest from the loudest one was countered by OTHERS with the information I had JUST supplied them. Awesome!
The wretched, lying, traitorous, hatefully bigoted media the left has built makes me want to puke.

  5. Come on folks, we’re being “messaged” by the elites. Check this out, also chock full to the rafters with Thatcher references: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-06-27/greenspan-warns-crisis-imminent-he-urges-return-gold-standard
They’re socializing everyone that the bubble will burst, entitlements must be stripped a la Thatcher, and the peasants will revolt. Don’t ya think this is a pretty direct result of the Bilderberger’s recent discussion about “The Precariat and the Middle Class” ?

  6. Trudeau is a globalist. Decisions about our lives are made by the UN. Canadians have not yet figured this out, but it will soon be obvious.

  7. It’s not a bad article in itself, but it completely ignores muslim immigration in ALL of these countries (and everywhere else not already muslim)… The invading tide of anti-western muslim settlers will drastically change things, and the future for western lands will not be in any way as rosy as depicted here…

  8. The losers with the leave vote are those Countries that hoped to offload a few hundred thousand so called Refugees. The protesters of the “Me” generation did not have the foresight to see that the onslaught of Muslims and Poles, Hungarians, Germans Spaniards and other EU will lower wages and underbid to take trade jobs. The Muslims will continue the Practice of building Mosques in non Muslim Neighborhoods then take over the surrounding housing through the swarming of the area by attending Muslims including those Good Peaceful Muslims in established Muslim areas.Any Country can have generous welfare programs; and any Country can have open borders, but no Country can have both and survive,
