  1. I guess that it means that the Prince has now officially ascended to the throne and succeeded his father, right?

  2. Did the Quebecois invent the canoe?
If not, Kim Justin-il is engaging in cultural appropriation.

  3. Hard to say who invented the canoe!! I love this old Canadian song that our French teacher taught us in Grade 5!
There was a guy in our class who’s Dad was a hunter and a trapper, but none of his family understood a a world of French, they were Scottish. We’d sing this song, and he’d get up in front of the class and dance a jig to this tune. He always wore leather soled cowboy boots. It was out of this world how he kept his steps to the tune that coming from a ”Seabreeze” portable record player.

  4. Yeah, well, its not like he was Muslim or anything. If he was, it might be a motive, but who knows? Maybe it was his two bit job, or maybe cuz he got turned down at the club?

I think that old queen is onto something.
The bottom line is the EU is destined to implode. The tribes don’t trust each other and once this ‘refugee’ question settles down they will look at their Other crises- finance and realize some of them are broke…then the real bitching will start.
Some of the tribes will have to bail out the others. It will not end well.
The Brits might as well bite the bullet nowm

  6. BC thanks for the post. I like Wente as well. Her opening comments threw me…
I guess the IMF wants the Brits to stay – they know a serious financial crisis is on the horizon. Best to have so players with some dough in the game once the cheques have to be written.
My guess once that begins Merkel will get punted and the Germans will be in full retreat.

“I don’t have work, I’ll be outside chillin’ in the hood and stuff
but that’s not gonna get me far. It’d get me in trouble… I don’t
need none of that stuff near my family.”

  8. Agreed abtrapper!
The whole EU concept is really just a Ponzi scheme, run by bureaucratic socialists.

  9. Speaking of Ponzi schemes, what would you call what the Wynne government of Ontario is doing with her green crap?

  10. AGW RIP.
“North German online news site […] reports there is “no longer a connection” to two North Sea windparks due to “a faulty transmission cable”.”
    …-
“Technical Problems …Two More Huge German Offshore Wind Parks Cut Off From Grid!”
“Good thing Germany still has reliable sources of energy, such coal and nuclear power, online. Otherwise the citizens would find themselves sitting in the dark and seeing their food spoiling away in fridges and freezers.”

  11. Looking at the left wing media reports across the board and polling it’s hard not to kinda get the feeling they are worried for their candidate. The numbers they are posting are as close as they dare in order to appear legitimate.

  12. Donald Trump is a really bad man. No, look back at Donald. OK Debbie says good to go, off to Hillary’s server for public consumption. Debbie resigns.
DNC shining example of Dems’ and Hillary’s leadership and effectiveness on security; experienced and firm – and everybody knows it.
“Hacker ‘Guccifer 2.0’ publishes DNC campaign docs with strategies for defending Clinton.”
    Amongst the usual lame excuses:
“There were several other documents released by the hacker on Tuesday. One is titled the “2016 Democrats Positions Cheat Sheet 7-7-15.”
The “cheat sheet” features positions on various Democratic Party issues taken over the course of their career by the 2016 presidential candidates, including Vice-President Biden and Elizabeth Warren, both of whom chose not to run.”
Another document explores all the accusations against the Clinton Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative, and Clinton Health Access Initiative, together with suggestions how to counter them with examples of “positive outcomes.”
I’m sure we’ll read all about it; and much more. The Putin slow leak torture continues. I guess he prefers Trump. When will Hillary catch on?

  13. We might put their popularity down to the fact we have two opposition parties who haven’t chosen their leader. It that’s not it, we are royally screwed and ripening for takover by any and all comers.

  14. With the coming cpp expansion why is everyone ignoring that sole proprietors pay both halves of cpp contribution?

  15. It currently costs near $5000.00 a year for a sole proprietor. Fortunately I am of the age that I will be opting out of the CPP payments. Others aren’t so fortunate.

  16. Doesn’t Abacus have ties to the Liberals? Just wondering….

  17. I’m self employed and I’ve been receiving CPP benefits for about half a dozen years and I’ve already received more than I ever contributed.

  18. From the operation empty chair file :
FBI has lost track of terrorist’s wife. I’m guessing she was flown back to Afghanistan. Another successful operation in the war on the 2nd amendment completed.

  19. Most people rely on the media to tell them what to think. Justin is the media’s boy. So what if Canada is going to H… in a handbasket. The media prefers not to cover any unpleasantness about the Trudeau government. Much of the negativity around Harper was media driven. Right now (with an election far off), people are not engaged. Unfortunately, there will be a price to pay for being inattentive to what’s really going on. For starters, the Liberals are ruining the economy, but the media will pretend for as long as possible that there is no problem.

  20. Yes,absolutely,so does Nanos.
I only post these things to keep folks here aware of the Liberal propaganda machine and how relentless it is.
BUT, that is what the majority of Canadians see, “everybody’s happy with Justin”, every f***ing day!

  21. Of course. Just like there was no hunger, no poverty, and no unemployment in the Soviet Union, right?

  22. That is how it is supposed to work. They’ve been holding my money for 50 years. That money is meant to be invested and grow.

  23. Exactly. I have no problem getting more out than I put in. However those who follow are going to get screwed.
Based on the model employed in this paper (which assumes workers retire at age 65), the real rates of return enjoyed by Canadian workers from their CPP retirement benefits ranged from an incredible 45.5 percent in 1969 to just 3.6 percent in 2015.
Specifically, there was an initial steep decline from the 45.5 percent real rate of return observed for retirees in 1969 to less than one-third that rate in 1989 (12.6 percent). By 2003, the real rate of return for CPP retirees was halved to 6.3 percent. By 2015, the real rate of return for CPP retirees had declined to 3.6 percent.
The projected real rates of return for the CPP continue to fall to 2.1 percent for those retiring in 2037, stabilizing thereafter. In other words, Canadian workers retiring after 2036 (people born in or after 1972) can expect a real rate of return of 2.1 percent from the CPP.
