In the last five months, 6 out of 7 female recruits — and 40 out of about 1,500 male recruits — failed to pass the new regimen of pull-ups, ammunition-can lifts, a 3-mile run and combat maneuvers required to move on in training for combat jobs, according to the data.
A friend used to be an instructor at the RCMP training depot in Regina. When they started to admit women into the force they were unable to pass the physical demands. Not to worry though, they lowered the standard and all was a success.
I know a young guy who did basic training a few years ago. He was in infantry and he was totally surprised that several of the young women in his course, Navy Stewards actually passed. While he was thinking about the ability of fellow soldiers, Naval Officers would have went ape shit if their waitresses were flunked and they had to get their own coffee.
similar to what dalton did to the education system in Ontario. he dumbed it down so now kids are graduating almost illiterate it did bring the watered down test scores up though to make dalton look good

It is a simple fact that women apply to join the military in far, far smaller numbers than men.

properly hold & shoot .40 s&w glock service pistols used by major
canadian police forces… and are actually allowed to carry
slimline single-stack 9mm handguns.

In such times one tends to mull over the past history of earth shaking events.
Such as how the small, quiet, malnourished, bow legged, sons of Japanese rice
farmers entered the maw of the Imperial Army and within a short time courtesy
of old traditions and more recent Prussian flavoured indoctrination plus non stop
brutality, exited their basic training as hair trigger conditioned atrocity prone monsters.
That was on top of being formidable soldiers as anyone who faced them in battle was
quickly made aware.
Almost any material can be made fit for purpose if there is sufficient effort put into the
process combined with no hope of escape from it. It is the unending soul destroying
hard hammering that makes it happen.
Well said. except the new generation does not study history and know nothing of this.
