  7. My brother and mother worked as civilians on the Baden-Soellingen base in Germany when the first CF18s first arrived. I visited once and got a chance to speak to some of the pilots. They all claimed that the CF18 overall was a superior plane to the CF104s it replaced, but to a man they said nothing could fly a low level mission like the CF104. I was lucky enough to be on base when a CF18 took off. The noise was incredible.

  12. My Dad was a custom harvester in Saskatchewan. In 1946, One of our neighbours where Dad was combining was walking towards the pickup truck to try and avoid an upcoming thunderstorm and pick up my Dad before the rain arrived. He was struck by lightening and killed immediately. There was no evidence of the strike whatsoever on his body, yet the radio in the pickup (about 20 feet from the body) was totally burned, and two of the tires were flattened and burned. My Dad was on the combine about a half mile away and heard the thunder above the roar of the engine.

    Why not cards to remind the Toronto police not to beat the crap out of G2o protesters, or to remind the RCMP of pretty much every illegal and anti-social act they’ve committed over the last decade?
    F*ck Canada. The sooner this charade of a country goes the way of the dodo bird, the better.
