  1. Getting responses from ANY government – especially those of the socialist flavor – is like swimming through peanut butter or skating through frozen molasses. HOWEVER …..
Here’s a tip for the Ft. Mac Contractor’s Association that WILL work (seriously; no joke) …
    1. Get a member whose first name is Mohammed, and whose last name sounds like he’s clearing his throat
    2. Have Mohammed sign ALL letters and ALL emails to the government
    3. Be sure to show as a cc. on ALL letters and ALL emails that you are copying the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the CBC, CTV, Global, the Globe & Mail and the National Post
    4. Last but not least, click the send button
    5. Await the government’s press conference and photo opp announcing that the Ft. Mac Contractor’s Association is the LEAD GROUP contracted to clean up and rebuild Ft. McMurray. Please make sure that Mohammed wears a clean turban and leave’s his girlfriend (Gertie the goat) at home for that event.

  2. Maybe they should get the Red Cross to fund some of the rebuilding. Since the Red Cross was the ONLY group getting matching funding from the government, they should have lots left. I am still put off and suspicious of why those matching funds went to only one group.

  3. The full quote applies:
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” — Rahm Emanuel

  4. insular. the callousness and exclusivity exhibited by these Alberta new democraps is unparalleled. let them do what they want for the next 3+ years and they will DIE like a vampire with a stake in its heart. ram it in deep. everyone with their hand on the stake, shoving it in deep deep deep. tape a picture of notely’s mug on the vampire and twist and turn it and maybe, just maybe they will go the way of bob rae’s one-hit-wonders. it will take time, but Albertans have ONLY THEMSELVES TO BLAME.

  5. I could feign surprise, but nothing these #@&*ing clowns do really surprises me. Anything to pay back their union/leftard buddies. Screw hard working Albertans? No. Damn. Problem.

  6. It’s payback because all us evil capitalists had it far too good for far too long.

  7. I don’t think this is going to go the way the NDP wants it to.
Trying to pass all this onto your union cronies is going to be a problem.
A couple of cracked skulls may show the NDP, your “help” is not needed and to make sure that Fort Mac contractors are doing 99%+ of the rebuild.
The NDP and their public sector union brethren have no shame.
    It’s time to shame them.

  8. There is a reason why my donations did NOT go to the Red Cross. Checked with family in the vicinity, and sent cheques where knew will be properly used.

  9. I dont know about Alberta, however here in Saskatchewan, the local urban municipality can set rules and regulations to license contractors, they can refuse entry to anyone. There are other ways to deal with that problem, but I won’t print that!!

  10. Yeah you can go the moslem way or the the neufy mofia way… if you ever worked in Fort Mac you know what I mean
