  1. Liberalism is a philosophy of consolation for Western Civilization as it commits suicide.
Under Capitalism, the rich become powerful. Under Socialism, the powerful become rich.
Under Socialism, government employees become powerful.
Freedom is not free. Free men are not equal. Equal men are not free.

  2. Re: Trudeau takes a day off to celebrate wedding anniversary.
What next?? The trip is a scam to begin with. What can Trudeau do to change the trade relations with Japan?? What is Sophie doing there?? Buying a rattan stick to fight off Ruth Ellen Brosseau should she retaliate? .
We’ve been trading partners since I was a kid back in 1954 and I used to take my ”Made in Japan” toy cars apart with a screw driver and pliers from my Dad’s SKF tool box. How many of you remember friction motors?? You wound the car up and there was a Ronson lighter flint that rubbed against an abrasive flywheel making bright sparks through the windows of a generic 54 sedan, a crossbreed between a Plymouth and a Buick.
The epitome of Japanese imports were some of the high quality microwaves, TVs, cameras and other electronic goods that we bought at places such as Radio Shack and Sears in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Don’t get me wrong, it would have been much better to build such equipment in Canada and the USA, however it just didn’t happen that way.
As for Just-in and Sophie, they could have gone for supper at Margaret’s place on the way back ti Canuckistan.
On the topic of Made in Japan, enjoy the song. You had to hear that song on a ”Quadraphonic 8 Track” playing in a Sony stereo.

  3. A number of PET’s foreign trips served the same purpose. Politics and trade were merely an excuse for a holiday.

  4. Don’t get me wrong, it would have been much better to build such equipment in Canada and the USA, however it just didn’t happen that way.
There was nothing happenstance about it, we allowed their asian junk into our country without getting equal access to their market. And it’s still that way…

  5. MSNBC anchor mistakes Bill Cosby for Bill Clinton:
“We’re gonna begin with that breaking news we told you about at the top. Right now, out of Pennsylvania, Bill Clinton is set to arrive at a suburban — excuse me, Bill Cosby is set to arrive at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse any moment now for a key hearing in his criminal sex assault case.”
    Fire him!! Jail him!!

  6. On the anniversary of fusilier Lee Rigby being run down and hacked to death by 2 Islamist jihadis, a Muslim attacks and stabs a number of British women while he shouts about the anniversary of Lee Rigby’s murder.
The Brit. MMSM play down or don’t mention the jihadi connection because of the upcoming referendum on whether the U.K. should leave the E.U. is on June 23rd.
This is the press whose freedom is paid for by the blood of British soldiers!

  7. Haven’t heard of anything the Trudashians accomplished in Japan other than a free trip to celebrate their anniversary at our expense and get his elbows out of the news. It’s notable how Sophie gives Justin that soppy look of adoration as they strut like a power couple for the world to see.

  8. Headline there is a bit misleading, and primarily asks about supporting for Trudeau as the leader vs. The other two temporary leaders. Interestingly, the comments are scathing, most quite accurate in their assessment if Trudeau. Perhaps the media will eventually catch on.

  9. It was the Republican Congress that cut benefits & funded immigration… It doesn’t help to blame Obama… unless you believe John McCain had a bad relapse and has gone totally wacko.
What Obama wants John will provide…. Trump has work to get rid of these clowns

  10. Brace yourselves folks for what’s to come. The BIG political/business junkets to warm places in the dead of a Canadian winter.
It goes like this. Bongo arranges a trade mission. Businesses who hope to establish a trade relationship with foreign countries are invited along. This is the ruse for the trip. Cab minister’s who have ‘qualified’ are also along and journos who have properly ‘measured up’ get invited.
It’s all on the taxpayers dime and lasts anywhere from 10 to 20 days.
It’s a reward for being a ‘player’ with the PM and the LPC.
    Nothing is ever accomplished.

  11. The top story that popped up when I went to the National Post website today is that Trudeau is celebrating his wedding anniversary while on business in Japan. The headline reads:
“We have a modern man concept going on”: Happy 11th anniversary, Justin and Sophie
No one can tell me that the press isn’t doing everything they can to prop up the Pony. It is sickening.

  12. It’s worse than sickening. The tantrum king has went from a VICTUM of a childish NDP plots to HERO for helping the conservative whip navigate the bullies! Apperantly the NDP used Jedi mind tricks to “draw” him out of his seat. Then to top it of we get Elizibeth May profonicating on the behaviour of the opposition. Anyone have a copy of her performance swept under the rug they would like to share ? Oh , she was drunk , not responsible, no fore thought . Really. The sunny ways have blinded most people .

  13. Pretty funny to watch Justin lecture Japanese leadership on trying his daddy’s technocracy that has demonstrably failed miserably in the Land of the rising sun, then opining we can make better cars, so Subaru et al should import unemployment by exporting plant jobs to Canada. Not today.
“Canadians seeking to school the Japanese on carmaking makes about as much sense as trying to convince them we have the finest sushi, too, as Post columnist Chris Selley quipped on Twitter. Investment in Ontario’s auto factories is actually flagging badly, Statistics Canada revealed in its report on industry spending earlier this month, with auto firms fleeing south to more business-friendly climes.”
Having signed Canadians up to a policy of deficit spending far deeper than he originally promised, Trudeau has readily embraced a role as a globetrotting preacher for the righteousness of red ink. At the International Monetary Fund, Trudeau is seen as Christine Lagarde’s golden boy for his willingness to sacrifice Canadian taxpayers’ money in the communal crusade to goose global growth. “Not every country appreciates the International Monetary Fund’s tutelage,” Canadian Business magazine recently remarked. “Canada, however, is the teacher’s pet.”
In Japan, it looks like Trudeau the student hopes to become Trudeau the teacher, enlightening his peers with the secret recipe for planetary prosperity. As he told Reuters, “we know that the challenges global growth is facing aren’t going to be solved by strategic cuts here and there; at one point we do have to start investing in our future.”
How did those Japanese CEOs keep a straight face? How many more times will Justin get bitch slapped on economics?

  14. The headline should really read: “Obama Apologizes For Western Civilization”.

  15. Glenn Beck and Brad Thor, on ‘taking out’ Donald Trump:
    (These two are certifiable..)
“Talk radio host Glenn Beck and best-selling author Brad Thor believe the only way to get a President Trump out of office is for a “patriot” to apparently kill him.
Appearing on Beck’s radio program this morning, Thor said:
I am about to suggest something very bad. It is a hypothetical I am going to ask as a thriller writer.
With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if, if, he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitution-mandated authority as president, I should say.
If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office? And I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office, because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.
Beck responded, “I would agree with you on that.”
