Check out the installation along Interstate 15 about 30 minutes south of Las Vegas. There are hundreds of acres of reflectors aiming the sunlight at some towers, heating them and creating electricity. In doing so, the reflected light and heat attracts insects which in turn attract birds. Thousands of birds on a yearly basis are cooked in the beams of light and are dead either before or shortly after they hit the ground. There are lots of photos which can be viewed on Google earth. I have seen it from the highway and it is just plain creepy.
It is devastating to the birds living in the area as well as those that migrate through.

Cruel? Possibly. Utterly callous? Certainly; as we learned from Benghazi.

And … where is PETA ? When are they going to find out where the head of the Fish & Wildlife Services lives, and douse him in fake animal blood when he leaves for work in the morning ? Where are their DEATH threats against this animal-killer ?
