yet again, the most vulnerable member of society pays with his life because of propaganda and bizarro belief systems fostered by the hysterical media.
and it is the media that propagates this crapola about vaccines=autism. they nurture and feed the mythology. damm them all. when will they be rendered extinct and all their lies die with them?

  2. A clean sweep for Trump tonight. The Indiana primary may determine if he has the magic number of delegates.

  3. This is pretty straight forward, there is no mystery, socialism conquered and demolished another country.
If Venezuela did not have oil, it would wallow in socialist sewer excrement as you’re reading this screed.
“Venezuela Goes Dark: Socialist, Oil-Rich Country Cuts Power”
    http://dailycaller.com/2016/04/26/venezuela-goes-dark-socialist-oil-rich-country-cuts-power/
Except that the Canadian socialists insist that they could do better.
    Don’t let them try it.

  4. Shocking news out of the Philippines. A Canadian was beheaded by, not a Xtian, but a Muslim! This was obviously a mental health issue.
Has our hunky Prime Minister told the people of the Philippines to not engage in Islamophobia?!
I will tune into our respected national broadcaster, the CBC, to find out The Truth™!

  5. Socialists see each failure, such as Venezuela, as an example of what not to do. They simply refuse to learn from history, which clearly shows that socialism doesn’t work. They push on ahead, convinced that they’ll eventually get it right, often resorting to even more extreme methods each time.
Look at the parties. Labour lost the last UK general election, so it tossed out Ed Milliband and chose Jeremy Corbyn, a clear shift to the left. The NDP fell into third place here in Canada, Mulcair is given the heave-ho, and the Leap Manifesto is adopted as policy.

  6. “Food is like a pharmaceutical compound that affects the brain,”
    http://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-04-fructose-hundreds-brain-genes-wide.html?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link
A range of diseases—from diabetes to cardiovascular disease, and from Alzheimer’s disease to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder—are linked to changes to genes in the brain. A new study by UCLA life scientists has found that hundreds of those genes can be damaged by fructose, a sugar that’s common in the Western diet, in a way that could lead to those diseases.
Americans get most of their fructose in foods that are sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, an inexpensive liquid sweetener made from corn starch … The Department of Agriculture estimates that Americans consumed an average of about 27 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup in 2014.
Previous research led by Gomez-Pinilla found that fructose damages communication between brain cells and increases toxic molecules in the brain; and that a long-term high-fructose diet diminishes the brain’s ability to learn and remember information.

  7. You and Lev have it right. It is only the LIV voter that feels the need and the right to a free lunch that falls for the utopian lies that Marx and Lenin peddled.

  8. And pray tell why is that? What does it do that F-15E does not do better? You do realize that US Navy wants F-35?

  9. The whole F-35 Joint Strike program has been a failure since day one. The biggest failure is not being able to deliver the aircraft on time, and going way over budget. Now I’m reading that very soon, the F-35 will be visible to new high tech enemy radar, if it isn’t already.
I think the RCAF has made it clear that a single engine fighter aircraft over Canada’s arctic territories is too risky. Time will tell!!

  10. watched a bit of Hitlery’s screed tonight……..what a battleaxe….
Seems she’s running against a terrible administration, as she’s promising jobs, a greater America, showing up Wall St, blather blather blather, helping the little guy. Hmmmm, seems she’s running against herself and her multi-million PAC and filthy rich supporters, “to support the little guy”…..
What a disgusting, lying unt she is. Oh, and yeha, climate change too. Brain dead supporters wildly cheering for her. Whats wrong with these brain dead partisans?

  11. Right, so it should be Super Hornet because?
BTW F-35 is too risky to fly over arctic but fine to fly over water from US and Royal Navy carriers? Interesting. You know what other US jet fighters were over budget and delivered late? Pretty much all of them.

  12. News out of Austria is a first for there post WW2. The MSM is silent. The last line excerpted about Norbert Hofer in first place finish is priceless.

Austria’s government was licking its wounds on Monday after the anti-immigration far-right triumphed in a presidential vote, a debacle of historic proportions for a cosy political establishment seen as out of touch and ineffectual.
The result was a further sign that the appeal of mainstream politicians in Europe — and in the United States with Donald Trump — is waning as populist figures tap into anger about immigration and growing inequality.
According to preliminary results, Norbert Hofer of the Freedom Party (FPÖ) came a clear first with 36 percent in Sunday’s first round of an election for the largely — but not entirely — ceremonial post of head of state…
Facing gun enthusiast Hofer, 45 — an engineer who often walks with a cane since a paraglider accident — on May 22 will be Alexander van der Bellen, 72, a somewhat dishevelled but respected economics professor backed by the Greens, who won 20 percent.

  13. You are correct. That’s what the US Navy is opting for. They’ll be stuck with some F-35s but the Super Hornet will be the backbone of Naval aviation.

  14. One of the myths from the movie ‘Apocalypse Now’ is that sitting on a combat helmet will keep a bullet out of your butt.
    Not true:
A round will not only penetrate your helmet, but turn it into a piece of shrapnel that will kill or injury others in the chopper..
Hillary Clinton- This little bit of combat information is FYI in case you ever have to dodge anymore sniper fire while riding in Chopper One..

  15. Awww, I was looking so forward to a Lance post after Trump basically clinched tonite.
    BusTed? DefeaTed? ObliteraTed? EliminaTed.

  17. The trouble with the F-35 is multi-role, trying to make it do several different jobs. There are three variants. Also, software development seems to be problematic. The VTOL capability is very expensive.

  18. The thief who stole Scat Cat sentenced. The souped-up 1968 Oldsmobile was stolen in the June 2014. It was recovered in pieces a few months later.

    Larry, that is good news.
Re the F-35 debate. All I know is that if at the age of 73 the army calls me back for duty I want someone in an effective aircraft flying good cover. The Finnish troops had practically no air cover in the 1940 Winter War and they paid a big price in casualties and local tactical situations for this failure

“The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money” — Margaret Thatcher”

  20. Yes, all fine and good. So many studies, so many where results can’t be replicated. Guess I’ll stop eating fruits and vegetables too. High in fructose ya know. (Apples, plums, raisins, etc, etc.) P L E A S E ….. so much junk science, so little time.

  21. What’s that old joke about a two-engine fighter jet? The second engine gets you to the crash site?

  22. I’m going out on the correlation is not causation limb to explain why high fructose foods are not the problem. The problem is what is missing from highly processed foods where fructose is added only to improve the taste. These foods have no nutritional value (unlike an apple which also contains fructose). It is the lack of nutritional value in highly processed foods that make them bad to eat, not the presence of fructose, salt, or other added flavouring.
The problem with other people’s money is – there’s never enough of it. Margaret Thatcher’s dog.

  23. If anything, the mainstream media is NOT giving much profile to the anti-vaccine arguments. Look at how DeNiro was forced to drop “Vaxxed” from his film festival. Like global warming, there is only one side of the story that most MSM want you to know about. There are some questions around vaccine safety that need to be investigated. Of course most people are not affected, but some people are. That is why in the US, there is a government fund available for people harmed by vaccines. The ingredients in some vaccines as well as the protocols for administering these may cause issues for some people. It is important to find out what exactly is behind the negative reactions to vaccines. Let us not use the left’s tiresome totalitarian argument “the debate is over” when people raise concerns.

  24. Keep them posting 60something, I don’t see eye to eye with you on most subjects but agree 100% on JBTs.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Criminal charges against Gerry Lougheed Jr. related to the Sudbury byelection scandal have been stayed.

  27. A reason why Cruz’s super Pac gave Fiorina $500,000 some time ago:
Carly Fiorina tapped as Cruz VP pick:
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — In need of momentum after a five-state shutout, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has tapped former technology executive Carly Fiorina to serve as his running mate.
The Texas senator plans to unveil his pick for vice president Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, an unusual move for an underdog candidate that reflects the increasing urgency for the fiery conservative to reverse his downward trajectory.
Cruz’s plans were confirmed by a Republican with direct knowledge of Fiorina’s selection, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized speak before the official announcement.
“Carly is bright, knowledgeable, brings great financial expertise and she’s a woman,” said Gary Aminoff, the Los Angeles County co-chair of the Cruz campaign. Aminoff said he had also been told Fiorina was Cruz’s choice.

  28. Industrial fructose is processed from corn and sugar beets. High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a mixture of glucose and fructose.
Don’t confuse industrial fructose, mostly processed from corn starch, with naturally occurring sugars in fruits and vegetables. If you do then you’ve fallen for the fructose scam just like the junk food processors want you to. Most uninformed people fall for it just like you did.
