Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I haven’t been able to find this in English anywhere, but the outline of the story so far:
1) Thursday, a fire is started in Bingen, Germany, in a house lived in by refugees. Swastikas are painted on the walls. 6 people suffer smoke inhalation and are treated.
2) An alert is issued by the authorities, warning people to be on the look-out for right-wing fanatics looking to kill people.
3) On Saturday, a 26 yr old Syrian is arrested and charged with aggravated arson. He confesses to setting the fire and spray-painting the swastikas, and gives crowded conditions and a murky future outlook for himself as a motive.

The NDP “Leap Manifesto” name reminded me of “The Great Leap Forward” of Mao’s China.
Have a look at how that turned out.
Maybe, the NDP “Leap Manifesto” could actually be titled ‘The Great Leap Backwards’.
Or more accurately simply “Jumping off a cliff”.

My name is Mohamed and this is my brother Mohamed (from CFRA radio news):
Five men facing first degree murder charges
Five Ottawa men have been charged with first degree murder in the death of Mohamed Najdi.
Najdi, a known gang member, was shot dead on January 10 in the Claremont Drive area.
Alaa Asiri, 33, Ali Elenezi,18, Lual Lual, 26 and Mohamud Yusuf, 25, appeared in court on Sunday morning. Mohamed Mohamed, 32, will be in court next week to face the same charges.
The five men are also facing kidnapping charges.
Most Democracies last 200 years . This one could be taking its last breath.
The US has never been a democracy, it’s a Republic. Neither the President, the Supreme court, or Senators have ever been elected through the unrestrained tyranny of the majority.
In case anyone has not seen the main points of LEAP. There is nothing moderate about today’s NDP Party.
http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/8-things-to-know-about-the-leap-manifesto-1.2852676
Basically, if the NDP adopts this program it will have become a full fledged communist party.
“Swastikas are painted on the walls. 6 people suffer smoke inhalation and are treated […]
An alert is issued by the authorities, warning people to be on the look-out for right-wing fanatics looking to kill people.”
There is nothing unreasonable in making the preliminary deduction that the circumstantial evidence of the swastikas might well point to neo-Nazis.
But judged on prior experience with German governmental responses, one cannot help thinking that the authorities in Bingen were quite possibly very eager indeed to have some easily-vilified “instant bogeyman” suspects.
The language is a bit different, but this is not too far off of the Sustainable Development Goals being pursued by the UN. Justin and many municipal governments are covertly pursuing these. I think that one possible difference between LEAP (NDP) and Liberal (UN Sustainable Development) is a local vs. a global approach. Justin is following the globalist route. Both approaches are communist and totalitarian. (Remember Justin’s admiration for China?) At least the NDP is up front about their intentions.

The good people of Attawapiskat are in the news again, this time it’s not for a starving Chief but suicides.
Their NDP MP Charlie Angus says they need more money. That’s surprising.

Maybe we have been marketing the oil sands all wrong. We should have been promoting the restorative properties of bitumen. Let’s send a tankerful to Neil Young and Suzuki and soon they will extol the health benefits of the oil sands.
‘Bitumen bubble’ ? How about an Alberta bitumen spa resort?
An Edmonton entrepreneur is behind a first-of-its-kind proposal for Canada — a bitumen spa resort.
Buff Parry, whose company The Salai Project Inc. is leading the project proposal, admits it sounds a bit “foreign” at first blush.
But he is convinced the idea has potential to bring in big tourism dollars for Alberta.
“I think we have to get past the notion it’s too exotic for anything we’re used to,” said Parry.
Parry explained indigenous people have known about the medicinal benefits of bitumen for thousands of years.
“It has a healing curative aspect to it for surface wounds, or for something like psoriasis or acne or ailments of the skin,” he said.

Read it all. Truly scary! This is just the beginning.
The Liberals completely lied about the middle class in crisis and the economy, but somehow the media missed it? How can that be? Did they forget their calculators again? No worries they’ll revise the “numbers” again just in time for the next federal election when we won’t be in the recession we’ll be in.
Akin: “Bill Morneau’s fantasy numbers: Median wage growth.”
“The chart above is the very first chart you will come across as you read Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s first budget. And it’s a fraud. The chart is preceded by this line: “… the benefits of economic growth have been shared by fewer and fewer Canadians.”
Real Median Wage growth grew 11.5% since 2000. Remember: That’s after inflation. I drew this chart using the very same data the Department of Finance used to build the Chart 1 from Budget 2016. The Harper decade featured not one but two recessions. And yet, there was substantial real median wage growth of 11%.”
How did Canada do? Canada showed the best real annual wage growth of any G7 country in that period, growing 22.84% over that period. Again: that’s real annual wages 2000-2014. Canada was 10th best in the OECD. On average, annual wages in the OECD countries grew 17.97% between 2000 and 2014. The U.S. saw annual wages grow 12% — after inflation.”

The truly disgusting part is all this was known last election, but Duffy was the issue, not Grit mendacity. Now that the NDP has exited stage left with the Grits gleefully inserting their crony Laurentianism, the Tories have a great chance to get back in the picture next election. When they do, assuming the inevitable gong show that is the cabin boy administration, they’d be wise to use their grass roots again, a neo-Reform approach, to give Canadians the good, so therefore limited government they need, rather than free stuff tax money laundering, funded by apparatchik payoffs. The smartest thing a new leader could do is separate the party from the coming undertow of establishment electoral wreckage fueled by further incompetence and voter frustration.
Remember above all the media as a whole are not our friends, never have been, never will be. Akin’s article is the exception not the rule. They only bend somewhat from their pop Marxism when their interests are perceived to be threatened. Remember the lobby media groups devoted to the removal of Harper, uninterested in relevant issues, except to make fallacious conclusions. Sound familiar?
Trudeau lied, Harper died, democracy got fried. Thanks mediocracy. The print media circles the drain from self inflicted wounds of ethical betrayal.
Colorado GOP on nasty display:
“It’s bad enough the two parties in Colorado don’t have presidential primaries in which many more voters would participate. The caucuses already limit participation to a narrow slice of the electorate. But the fact that the Republican leadership then took matters a step further and deprived even that narrow slice of voters a voice in one of the most competitive, consequential political nominations in memory – and perhaps in history – is mindboggling.
It’s likely that some Republicans who show up Tuesday will be surprised to learn their presidential preference is of no consequence. Perhaps someone should be on hand to explain to them why party democracy is apparently too disruptive and unpredictable to be trusted.”

Goldman Sachs will pay $5.06 billion to settle federal charges of deceptive mortgage practices in the years leading up to the 2008 financial meltdown. “This resolution holds Goldman Sachs accountable for its serious misconduct in falsely assuring investors that securities it sold were backed by sound mortgages, when it knew that they were full of mortgages that were likely to fail,” said Acting Associate Attorney General Stuart Delery in a statement.
