I hate to be a spoil sport, but this is far from funny. Actions like what occurred in this instance are exactly like how the Soviet Komsomnol in Russia and Mao’s cultural Red Guard behavedin the past.
These students no doubt are graduates of the “Little Oktobrists” and “Young Pioneers” equivalents of what many leftist teachers produced in our public and high schools. Our mostly leftist leaning universities hone and refine these youthful communists. These Komsomnolets will be the political leaders in the future and this is frightening.
It will not stop at being voted out of the room.

Ahhhhh, now I see how the game is played. The Trump campaign needs to “declare” itself a “safe space” and then have the jack-booted politically-correct police forces clear-out all the “protesters”. Then, the optics will suggest that everyone agrees with Trump
I can think of at least one hand gesture that I would be using in an environment like that…..and I would use it at every opportunity. Time for the few sane ones left in universities to fight back and fight back HARD.
This is the logical and inevitable result of the concept of ‘Hate Crime’ being accepted by politicians and practically applied by the Left.
Soon, everyone will be examined for evidence of ‘Thought Crime’.
I love how the language has been perverted by the professoriate. “Safe places” where the only “safety” is for the totalitarian thugs to speak unopposed. Your tax dollars at work!
One would think that those who value productivity in an employee – and who are paying attention to what is happening on campuses – would think twice about hiring graduates of such an institution (see Ryerson and Mizzou for other examples). In a sane world these proto-fascists will hit a dead-end and eventually remove themselves from the talent pool in Darwinian fashion. The bad news is that in the real world these little snowflakes will gravitate into academia (to perpetuate the cycle) and overflow into politics and related bureaucracy to become the determinants of future public policy. They themselves will be protected in publicly funded safe spaces while the uniformed muscle are sent to do the dirty work (again, see Mizzou).

They do not understand;”No”.
They repeat the same inanities as if nothing was said.As a child negotiates.
Then they insist that you must negotiate.
Their concept of negotiation being you move toward their stupid position, never that they smarten up.

These students should be put on the Golgafrincham “B” Ark, along with all those telephone sanitizers, marketing executives, and hairdressers…..
I experienced something like that while I was a grad student at UBC more than 35 years ago.
I was my department’s representative at the Graduate Student Association meetings. I often disagreed with much of the blather, considering that many of my fellow grad students were leftists and enrolled in such important areas such as gender studies. (As for me, I was in engineering.)
I was often the only one who voted against the resolutions that were proposed, such as having the university pay for all sorts of crap that anyone else would have to buy with their own money (e. g., art supplies).
I soon found out that I didn’t have many friends in that bunch.
Guess I’m too “old-school”….

speaking of left leaning, I’m up to my eyeballs in academia being in the process of auditing course up the wazoo. I sought guidance from a local chuch but certain of the parishioners commandeered the prayer meeting. I even tried to say there was a problem in that area but the problem was so bad with 1 individual. well, I couldn’t get a ‘word in edgewise’ to voice the concern.
