Well Pilgrim, let me offer this. I happen to think Jesus was a deeply kind and loving human being combined with a lot of guts and courage. His word and deeds are to be emulated and I agree the religion that was based on his life is based on love which is wonderful. As far as the rest of this god and bible stuff, it is a bunch of nonsense built upon myths that in my opinion debase and dilute what jesus taught. This is what I believe and I do not condemn what you believe but please spare me the sermon although I know you mean well and you are a good person.

The charter aircraft was an American registration. If the pilot was American I wonder how much experience he/she had working in conditions like that?
Of course it is too early to speculate but snow on the ground with rain and fog thrown into the mix can be challenging for the most seasoned and experienced pilot.
