    On that fateful day, Davy Crockett woke up and rose from his bunk on the main floor of the Alamo, and walked up to the observation post along the west wall of the fort. William B. Travis and Jim Bowie were already there, looking out over the top of the wall.
    These three great men gazed at the hordes of Mexicans moving towards the Alamo.

    Why Green Energy Means No Energy
    Why does the green movement oppose every practical form of energy?
    There is only one answer that can explain this. Greens oppose every practical form of energy not out of love for the non-existent virtues of solar and wind energy, but because they believe practical energy is inherently immoral.
    It’s in their philosophical DNA.
    To “be green” means to minimize our impact on nature. In the green philosophy, the standard of value, the metric by which we measure good and bad is human nonimpact—does an action make our environment more or less altered by humans?
    If we take that idea seriously, then practical energy is not a good thing.

  5. I was at the Alamo 9 years ago this summer, only us three crackers there . The rest were celebrating their long ago victory. Not as many over at San jucinto where the results of the Alamo were contested

  9. Regarding the news story of the woman nurse who surrendered her licence due to taking a photo of a patient’s penis.
    1. If she’d done a charcoal sketch instead, she might have beat the charge?
    2. Will her next job be as a veterinary tech. on the horse racing circuit?
    After continuous news of Islamist jihadis slaughtering men, women and children…
    including video recordings of the horror and the screams of the children, a lighter news story brings a little relief.
    This generation of children in the West have to be taught how and why to prevail, as the soldiers of Al… are now being raised to slaughter and enslave.

  23. According to the story the hotline a privately run by the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Whether that is a front group to suppress discussion about Sharia Law, armed jihad and Islamic Supremacism is an interesting question.
    Once the Muslims for modernity come out and oppose the Islamists an important distinction will be made, but the modern ones are afraid of being killed by the Islamists.
    Hence, why a public discussion on Sharia Law is needed fast in Alberta and across the country. Calgary has produced a high number of jihadi fighters for I.S.I.S. and has seen Islamists attack Jews in public.

  25. “White privilege” is the wackjob left’s version of Original Sin. And it has the same purpose: to induce unearned guilt, which is very bad for one’s psychological functioning.
    It’s all part of the political correctness agenda, by which some early 20th century Marxists decided to try to use the underclasses (minorities, gays, women, immigrants) as a substitute working class for the purpose of overthrowing capitalism. In the long run it shouldn’t work because capitalism is based on the principles of justice and everyone gets richer under it, but it can do a lot of damage until people figure that out.
