  1. I agree that leftists are vicious.
I live in Alberta and Red Rachel takes the greatest joy in destroying anything that was good and right about this province. The farm collectivization bill (justified as being legislation about “safety”–yeah, right) was pushed through with minimal consultation with those affected. Few people knew what was in it and it had to be enacted before everyone else did. (Sound familiar?)
In Canada, Prime Minister Twerpo is busy repealing, withdrawing, and eradicating anything and everything that the Harper Conservatives enacted and put in place.
Somewhere out in the great beyond, I can imagine that Marx, Lenin, and Stalin are smiling and nodding in approval.

  2. Socie3ty has allowed the FRINGE, the MINORITY, to RULE our nations. I can only assume that it is born of a “guilt” for being NORMAL that we have allowed the FRINGE to rule. I believe this is the same reason that liberals insist on open borders … out of guilt for being born a “have” … they will wash-away this “sin” by allowing the “have-nots” to flood into our countries. Nevermind that this policy is Unsustainable. Nevermind that the REAL solution is to enable the “have-nots” to transform their OWN countries into a “have” country. Noooooooooo … that would erase the penance these twits insist we PAY.

  3. ReL Craig Oliver!
I saw that little rat throwing in a ”Harper”here and ”Conservative” there in his rant. I haven’t forgotten his rant on election night either. Lest we forget.

  4. “The cited comments also remind me of the response Howard Hughes gave to a committee investigating accusations of bribery.”
Good comparison. “Howard Hughes was an American business tycoon and entrepreneur… During his lifetime, he was known as the wealthiest self-made man in the world, despite the fact that he had inherited 75% of the family business upon the death of his father.”
(Shades of that other “self-made” billionaire, Donald Trump, who inherited upwards of $200 million from his real estate mogul father.)
“As early as the 1930s, Hughes displayed signs of mental illness, primarily obsessive-compulsive disorder. Close friends reported that he was obsessed with the size of peas, one of his favorite foods, and used a special fork to sort them by size…Hughes was reported to have died on April 5, 1976, at 1:27 p.m. on board an aircraft…His reclusive activities (and possibly his drug use) made him practically unrecognizable. His hair, beard, fingernails, and toenails were long—his tall 6 ft 4 in frame now weighed barely 90 pounds, and the FBI had to use fingerprints to conclusively identify the body.

Narcissism rather than OCD seems to be Trump’s main psychological problem. This is partly an asset in today’s celebrity and wealth obsessed North American culture. He’s rich and famous! He must be wonderful! Who cares if he’s an egotistical buffoon?
However, another celebrity, the wife of Bill Clinton, has the approval of the vast majority of media, the entertainment industry and other shapers of public opinion so it seems unlikely to me that Donald will ever be president. Which of them would be the lesser of the two evils? Your guess is as good as mine. We are clearly in for some more interesting times.

  5. Good one J.
Now, for review, let’s all remember JT’s statist wisdom: All you have to do is find out who are the most productive in our society, then increase their taxes. Then you run on deficits created by previous debts’ service charges and increase that. Then you take all that money you failed to raise and “invest” it, from your heart and their wallet, in white elephants. That way, with that drop in the bucket stimulus, the “economy” creates jobs for you. It’s kind of like raising your taxes so you’ll be greener and stop misusing fossil fuels.
Oh, I forgot only Stephen Harper is to blame for bad economic news:
“Unemployment rate rises to 7.3 per cent in February.”
“No prizes for guessing which province saw one of the biggest rises in unemployment last month,” Porter wrote in a research note to clients. Alberta has shed tens of thousands of jobs over the past year in sectors such as resources, agriculture and manufacturing. Last month, however, employment was largely unchanged.”
Overall, the jobs report said Canada lost 2,300 net jobs in February compared to the previous month, though the agency deemed that figure statistically insignificant. A consensus of economists had been predicting the country to add 9,000 net jobs and for the unemployment rate to stay at 7.2 per cent, according to Thomson Reuters.”
The number of net full-time positions fell by 51,800, while less-desirable part-time jobs increased by 49,500. By sector, the agency said the net number of jobs in natural resources fell by 8,900 last month compared to January. Services industries, meanwhile, lost 44,500 positions last month following declines in categories such as education and health care and social assistance.”
“After a series of mildly upbeat economic reports in Canada, today’s jobs report crashed the party,” Porter wrote, referring to surprisingly positive economic data of late.”

  6. The left wants the haves to become have-nots…. that is, the haves it hates and despises.
We’re seeing it right now here in Canada in the glorious Socialist Republic of Alberta, Commissar Rachel Knothead in charge. The NDP government claims it supports unions and it does–provided they’re from the public sector. Private sector unions, especially those associated with the oil and gas industry, can die for all that party cares. Meanwhile, the government unions are making out like bandits with nice, fat pay raises, presumably for the wage freezes and/or cuts that those evil, nasty Progressive Conservatives imposed on them.
The NDP wants public bloat at the expense of, well, the public. Make the punters who voted for it pay through the nose, right?

  7. I wonder if some upcoming episode will feature a drama around some barbaric practice — oops, forced marriage, that is one. I guess we have gone from rejecting such practices to celebrating them. What would we do without the CBC.

  8. O’J narcissists: birds of a feather. Tell ’em both: STFU.
Progressives give themselves licence to bad-mouth foreign heads of government and politicians. Justine will soon eat his crow dinner.
