  1. Better than losing, but too little, too late. Ontario has been ruined by the Libs and will not recover.

  2. Wonder how much taxpayer money PM Clownypants wasted campaigning for the corrupt Ontario Libranos. Not that anyone in the media would care, I mean it’s probably quite a bit more than a “16 dollar orange juice”, but it is Librano theft so, whatev’s.

  3. Big deal. A safe PC riding in Ontario elects the PC candidate in a by-election, Yippee!
A safe PC riding, Jim Prentice’s riding, in Calgary switches from the PCs(who come in 3rd)and the Wild Rose Party takes it from the PCs to enlarge their position as the official opposition(large enough for a Shadow Cabinet for the second straight election in decades) and…*crickets* from SDA.

  4. Wynne pulled out all the stops to win the byelection, she used more taxpayer money on TV ads to advertise her pension scheme starting as soon as the byelection was called. Of course the win sends a message, a little kick in the teeth, but that’s it. Wynne will continue her with green Goddess insanity, the latest being her offer of $14,000.00 to anyone who buys a $65,000.00 electric car.

  5. Part of Trudeau’s speech in Whitby included “over the past few weeks we’ve seen that some folks out there still need to learn. So let’s teach them a lesson.” So the arrogant bastard (son of Keith Richards) thinks the over 60% who didn’t vote liberal need to be threatened.
See more below. If the dummies in the Ontario PC party hadn’t frozen people like Maddie (ie someone with a personality and willing to fight) out, results may have been different

  6. Justine wasn’t able to deliver Whitby-Oshawa for Wynnie like she delivered Ontario for the Spawn.
Gosh, they are a detestable duo.

  7. It wasn’t too long ago when Kathy (queen of the credit downgrade) Wynne would foam at the mouth if the prime minister offered support to a provincial candidate and now she welcomes the prime minister’s support. These dramatic changes make me question her mental stability!
What is with her erratic arm flapping when she gives speeches?

  8. So Prime Ballerina Justin Trudeau’s little pirouette flopped and he fell from his toes onto his butt. Well done!

  9. Well said. Not much personal traction in supporting CINOs if one has principles. Let them eat Al Gore’s cake.

  10. True. If we’re determined to take the #1 Bus to Hell in a Handbasket does it really matter what time we arrive.

  11. The lies continue and now the OCP has decided to support the lies:
“redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate”
    http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/11/18/ipcc-official-%E2%80%9Cclimate-policy-is-redistributing-the-worlds-wealth%E2%80%9D/
This is from a few years ago, but it makes the agenda quite clear. Nothing has changed. Why has the OCP not challenging this? Read this and weep. Good bye prosperity. Good bye Canada. People who think this is an alarmists view are in for a huge surprise. Unfortunately, Canadians have been duped, and by electing Justin (the globalist/UN candidate), their fate is sealed.

  12. Ontario PCs win an important by-election and CBC ignores it.
Nada, nothing, jack squat anywhere on their website.

  13. oh look. ndp at 16%. reaaaaaal close to their hard-core dyed-in-the-wool 12% support that will be there until the end times. the 12% that *still* thing full tilt socialism is the way to go, and that all that is needed is CONSTANT ‘fine tuning’.

  14. Been waiting for the right time to post this.  Got it from a comment on Wattupwiththat.com
Great joke about Wynne! (and I’m an American from SoCal!)
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and her driver were cruising home along a country road, in Southern Ontario one evening when an old cow loomed in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it , but couldn’t. The aged cow was struck and killed. Premier Wynne told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened and pay them for the cow. She stayed in the car making phone calls.
About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, a huge Cuban cigar in the other, and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.
“What happened to you?,” asked Kathleen.
“Well,” the driver replied, “the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made passionate love to me.”
“What did you tell them?” asked Premier Wynne.
The driver replied, “I just stepped inside the door and said, ‘I’m Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s driver and I’ve just killed the old cow.’ The rest happened so fast I couldn’t stop it.”

  15. I see the idiot Oz is still stumping for the liberals. Glad to see your lobotomy was successful Oz

  16. Being less than delirious over a PC win in a staunch PC Riding byelection hardly means “Oz” is a Liberal supporter.
And as for the people of Canada or Ontario “begging for a Conservative government” in four years, it will take a lot longer than that and we’ll have to be SO deep in a Depression that eve n government employees are being laid off in big numbers.
Whether we want to admit it or live in a conservative fantasy, most Canadians are progressive/liberal.

  17. Wynne clearly looked like she was flying high on her happy meds. Flappping her gangly arms declaring this is a win while grinning like a donkey in heat.

  18. Thank you, Don Morris.
I am a staunch conservative and the PCs are not conservative.
They have the word Progressive in their name for a reason.
That said, the point of my earlier post wasn’t to put down the Ontario PCs, which seem to be the most fiscally sound option for Ontarians.
It was to point up the relative unimportance of the Ontario PCs maintaining their hold on that staunch Ontario riding juxtaposed against the importance of a PC stronghold flipping to WRP in Calgary last September, which was ignored by SDA contributors.
Regardless of the possible motive for posting the thread being poking Zoolander in the eye with that Ontario by-election loss and Patrick Brown’s quip, the PCs are no longer a Federal party and the Liberal/NDP provincial party counterparts have always been direct franchises of their respective Federal parties which is not, and has never been the case, for the now defunct Federal PC Party nor the current CPC.
To sum, a PC win in a staunch PC riding says nothing about Federal politics or the level that Zoolander is esteemed in that area of Ontario, and also says nothing about the Ontario PCs chances of winning the next general election.
