  1. After reading through the Bible several times, I am convinced of the following. Humans are the first creatures that God created on the earth which:
    1) Capable of person-to-person, face-to-face communication with him.
Remember what God told Avraham (Abraham): “Walk in my presence (literally: walk before me) and be pure-hearted.” (CJB)
No other creature in the world were capable of doing so up until Adam.
    2) Are capable of having a personal relationship with him.
    3) Capable of organizing and managing their world and of working as he worked to create. To me, humans are at their best when they create.
    4) Capable of farming and animal husbandry, which, interestingly enough, appeared at about the same time in man’s world.

  2. Twins killed at COP park in Calgary by running down a locked sledding track and get front page news and numerous articles in the Calgary Herald.
I’m missing something here. Kids did something stupid and illegal and paid the ultimate price for their bad judgement.
But they get front page, more than one article (with lots of ‘loving’ pictures) of them.
What a screwed up set of values we have.

  3. The Talmudist points out that ‘rib’ (צלעה צלע
tsêlâ‛ tsal‛âh), in Genesis, is wrongly translated in the English. He doesn’t point out that the proper translation is ‘curve’.
Besides the obvious that women have more curves than men, DNA is also curved…

  4. I’m sorry johnbrooks but I don’t see anything offensive about the article in the Herald. They were just two gifted kids out having a good time. Had they stolen a car or robbed a bank, OK, maybe I’d get excited! But they went for a sleigh ride and things went wrong!! They died!! Isn’t that enough punishment?? May God keep their souls!

  5. Sorry neither evolutionists nor creationists are right. Humanity started when a drunk alien raped a monkey, ample evidence of it is available everyday everywhere.

  6. RE: Video!
Adam and Eve?? You gotta be kidding, right??
Like, today, we’re measuring ripples in space-time! And he’s still in the Garden of Eden??
Yepp–and tomorrow–we’re going to deport them thar Muslims because of their warped religion!!
    Good night folks!!

The refugee crisis could, with immense effort and courage, have been a collective triumph for Europe. Instead, it has become a collective failure. This is the story of the exorbitant, and ultimately intolerable, cost that Sweden has paid for its unshared idealism.

Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. Eleanor Roosevelt US diplomat & reformer (1884 – 1962)

  8. Like, today, we’re measuring ripples in space-time!
The valley girl has spoken…guess that settles it.

  9. You know, physicists as a group are a pretty religious lot. Maybe having an appreciation for the scale of the universe fosters the necessary humility. Half of Isaac Newton’s work was bible study. Georges Lemaitre, who first proposed the Big Bang theory, was a priest.

  10. Not really. I think the story has community interest and will generate much sympathy. Kids often do dumb things — Do not usually pay with their lives. The story will have an impact on other kids re engaging in risky behaviour.

  11. Wonder if Trudeau gave Mr Moon of the UN his two hand handshake in his butt licking bid to get Canada that seat at the UN? It’s so important to sit among the depots and dictators who make up the majority in that farcical place.

  12. Mao* Strong Report.
    *Liberal Justine’s favourite dictator.

  13. Thanks Lance, some interesting things to ponder.
Might I also suggest this https://youtu.be/7WAhDOUn_BU by Chuck Missler. From a mathematical perspective on chance, this is an amazing explanation of some facts which those in the SDA community may find enlightening. Goes into the work of one of the most amazing and little known brilliant minds of the past century, Dr. Ivan Panin. He penned over 44,000 pages of research in 50 years, into the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible. Startling and fascinating!!

  14. Ban giving Justin a pat on the head (while Canadians swoon) is simply all for show. Essentially Justin is a UN puppet. He will be pushing their Agenda 2030. Canada can expect to see its wealth radically decrease. There will be no pipelines or other paths to prosperity because we are being set up for global communism. WE have already be designated the “first post-national country”.
I did not take Trudeau’s early remark about “admiring China” all that seriously, but I now realize my mistake. It’s all here: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/post2015/transformingourworld (though they do a good job of attempting to obscure their methods.) This is the full-blown road map for redistributing the worlds wealth. Journalists seem disinterested, while this is moving forward at an alarming pace.
Justin is influenced by the globalists and he is colossally naive. He is in over his head. (I am assuming he himself has good intentions and the best interests of Canada at heart, but maybe that is wrong too.)

  15. Ealanor Roosevelt remains one of my most uniquely admired advocates for justice.
compared to the likes of the Camelot cutie for instance.
    no wall flower her.

  16. ISIS is getting their butts kicked, so let’s have a replenishment, I mean ceasefire. Well, except for the Russian airstrikes, the Assad military poised for victory, perhaps the Kurds, we’re not sure, they haven’t got back to us yet. You can’t do this kind of stupid by accident.
“Russia keeps bombing despite Syria truce; Assad vows to fight on.”
    Laughable if not so tragic.

  17. Domestic politics, lifestyles, blah, blah blah.
This was the really big news yesterday.
It’s the solution to a century-old physics problem, solid proof of Einstein’s General Relativity, and confirmation of the Standard Model of the universe. Gravitons are real, folks, and that means they have mass. Which in turn may answer some large part of the Dark Matter problem.

  18. I like the fact that the waves were detected 5 months ago but they wanted to make sure that they knew what they were looking at before the recent announcement.
Climate Science could use some common sense like that.

  19. Yours has to be one of the most delusional comments I have ever seen. As Yasser Arafat used to say, “My imaginary friend is stronger than your imaginary friend”.

  20. This appears on an Ontario public school web page. One group is obviously more important than all others.

Except our solar system is in perfect balance…while the rest of the universe experiences violent collisions and explosions. Maybe there’s something different about it…one doesn’t measure a car to find the size of a horse.

  22. Poll spotting…
    Nail It!!

How would you rate the Liberal government on its first 100 days?
    Exceeds expectations
    360 (11 %)
    Meets expectations
    1119 (33 %)
    Fails to meet expectations
    1912 (56 %)
    Total number of votes: 3391

  23. No, it does not mean that gravitons exist. It means that there is a “fabric” of spacetime which is malleable under certain extreme circumstances, and that the amplitude is on the order of 10^-21 meters.
More and more I am becoming convinced that space is not a continuum, but that volume is quantized at the Planck scale.

  24. Quite right, nold. The measurement is a tiny change in distance for a tiny fraction of a second. Then there followed a lot of analysis to eliminate any possible confounding factors. If and when it’s observed again by a second array, that will constitute additional confirmation. But collisions of collapsars are extremely rare events.

  26. I once worked for a company that was helping the former Liberal government implement this program. 10 or 15 bureaucrats seemed to find it necessary to attend each minor meeting. We were developing publicity for them. A big issue at the time was whether to include the agency’s contact info on their brochure. The agency was against doing so because they only had a small amount of money and wanted to discourage people from applying. It’s the Liberal way.

  27. Re: God
I don’t dispute the existence of God AKA a universal force or power.
I do however question the relationship between Adam, Eve and God.

  28. ”If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people.”
    Dr. Gregory House

  29. CTV, Canada’s First Transgender Judge.
Oh great its qualification to administer the law is not relevant, just its sexual orientation.
I would argue that an adult who has not figured out its own sexuality is not qualified to sit in judgement of anyone else.
Definitely not one of my peers.

  30. O’narcissist’s no-hope-a-dope-change legacy.

“Environmentalists last year had more than a transformative president going for them — they had El Nino, the Pacific Ocean phenomenon that periodically brings unusually warm weather to us, and opportunities for propaganda to global warming enthusiasts. Yet the public yawned at the claims that the Earth was experiencing its hottest year in record — people have tired of this mantra, as polling consistently shows. And environmentalists must know that, if they can’t be persuasive in an El Nino year, what are their chances in subsequent years, during which La Nina typically brings unusually cold weather?”
