    At the end of WWII my Dad’s regiment was in Oldenburg, Germany. There was sundown to sunrise curfew – enforced by bullets. When I saw the TV images of the museums being ransacked during the night in Baghdad, I knew right then that the US lacked the commitment to do what had to be done to bring any kind of stability to that country.
    It was almost inevitable that it would end like this.

    Yes, odd how some people get all bent out of shape about the destruction of an old building but much less bent out of shape about destruction of Christianity right at home.
    Not that it can be destroyed…but the poor things try. They’re helping the program, rather than hindering…

  7. Probably because Hal Lindsay is basically Biblically illiterate. There won’t be any rapture with people disappearing. Daniel didn’t disappear out of the fiery furnace, and neither will Christians. Christians aren’t cowards…

  13. You passed my “Hal Lindsay Test” … by correctly identifying his “end times” book and theology as nonsensical. It made him $ RICH $ though … which is probably also a sign of the end times. Something about the sheepple falling for false prophets. I also suspect that Hillary and Bill’s ill-gotten RICHES have to be some kind of end times prophecy. Seriously … ? $ 300K in tax-payer, college tuition payer, dollars for a 45 minute speech ? Seriously ? What is she selling that has THAT kind of value ? Abortion ? Yep. clearly a sign of the end times when Up is down and Down is up.

  14. Hal Lindsay got some of my money many years ago. I got suckered into seeing the movie based on his book “The Late Great Planet Earth”. A mate of mine and I went to see it when it was playing in Calgary.
    Never have I ever seen such drivel in my entire life. “Plan 9 From Outer Space” had more credibility and that flick was unintentionally bad. TLGPE was, frankly, a con job masquerading as a religious presentation.

  17. Actually it turned out the museums weren’t looted, the pieces were taken home by employees, curators,librarians and concerned citizens sought to protect the antiquities from bombing.
    The overwhelming majority of pieces were later returned. Oddly enough, not all Iraqi museum people made this info readily available but it’s been documented in some professional library and archival journals
