I’m not sure it has a name because it’s “so common” in Muslim countries, nor that it is in fact. common in Muslim countries. Presumably the women follow the rules that guide women’s conduct to prevent it, i.e. wear a big black bag over your entire body and always be under guard and supervision of the male members of the family?
I think it may be the reason there is a name for it is that it is policy in Islam to molest and/or rape and/or kidnap women who are following those rules.

Hijab as part of the RCMP uniform is extreme. Get a few Muslim men in there and they will be insisting that all women wear the hijab, not just Muslim women. If a Muslim woman wants to join the RCMP, so be it. (Are there any?). If they want to keep their head covered, I would say they can do that with a simple scarf — maybe prescribe white or something — but making this a part of the uniform is ridiculous. What is next, the niqab?
