  1. Thought a Canadian ski holiday would have been fine. Maybe he was slumming it with the tire recyclers.
Good to fit some down time in such a heavy schedule.

  2. “he also brought some friends with him”
Are their names Benjamin Franklin and is Nevis non reporting banking wise?

  3. He should stay down there. That way we don’t have to see or hear him speak…and he won’t be an embarrassment to Canada. The country doesn’t need him as his peons can run everything and be happy to do so. When the cats away the rats will play…what fun!

  4. And this is the guy who wanted the taxpayers to pick up the tab for his live-in nannies. Disgusting!!! But, entirely typical in a Liberal.

  5. I was watching TMZ (yes, I sometimes watch I’m sorry to admit) right after he won election. So they’re running a story on him and the cute brunette who sits in front was all like “oh he’s so cute!”

  6. He must have taken along a huge briefcase, after all, being PM he is always on duty to serve his people, we need to hope he doesn’t ever have to make any important decisions after he knocks back a few at the bar, or puffs a joint. Oh, scratch that, the Butts Liberal Cabal is carrying the load, feeding their front boy, running the show.

  8. Boy Wonder is not cat; that’s Butts. He is just the squirrel we must all look and point at.

  9. It would cost us a lot less if we just continued paying the $2,500 per day and kept the silly little tit down there.

  10. Finally a promise he is keeping “Sunny Place” . On no that was “Sunny Ways ” . Close enough I guess. . I wonder if Mansbridge enjoyed the trip ?

  11. How many days has he actually spent in Canada since the election? With international conferences and caribbean vacations, I’d estimate it’s less than 50% of them.

  12. I wonder if CBC sent Terry the Terrible Mildewski to report his “private” vacation escapades? He’d sure as hell be there if it were the Harper family at such an expensive/exclusive destination. As for Mansbridge, he should call it quits, he’s a spent force whose salary we pay but cannot be privy to exactly how much we are paying for his services. It has to be an obscene amount to be keeping it a secret.

  13. “I wonder if CBC sent Terry the Terrible Mildewski to report his “private” vacation escapades?”
Nawwwww. Terry called and asked how much it was for a glass of orange juice down there. He found out it was only $15.99, so he said he didn’t have a story.

  14. He does not even pretend to be spending time learning the issues. So who exactly is running the government? At least with Harper you knew he was focused and involved. Justin seems mostly involved in photo ops. He long can they keep this charade going?

  15. “He long can they keep this charade going?”
Well, for at least four years. And given our public’s insatiable capacity for snot and drivel, maybe another four after that. The mediocrity is the message.

  16. Is it just me, or the rest of Canadians happy to have the fabulous front four of the liberal party looking after us: Christia Freeland, Ralph Goodale, John McCallum and the incomparable Stephan Dion.

  17. It seems the media want to keep reminding us Justin and family are in the beautiful people/celebrity category, their main claim to fame is looking good for their adoring fans. When it comes to the serious stuff, well they have “people” doing the real work. Problem lies in the fact we have no idea who the hell is really running the country. I’m not feeling too confident with the likes of McCallum in charge of immigration or Bobble Head Goodale, brown noser to every Liberal leader he’s worked under. Scary times on every government file with this regime, they were not ready, still are not ready to govern.

  18. So what was the cost to Canadian taxpayers?
Cost of the flight? How many Nannies and security people got 10 days away from Ottawa celebrating Global warming? Normal Hotels on this getaway run around 400 USD or about 130 barrels of Alberta Tar sands oil… per person per day.
Where did Harper vacation? He seemed to spend a lot of vacation time at Harrington Lake and winter vacations watching his son play Volley ball in Southern Ontario.

  19. Come on TMZ. Do your job, pay the front desk clerk for a copy of the bill including how it was paid.
Bet it wasn’t from a CC that has JT’s name on it.

  20. Suitcase of cash. Nevis is the new Caymans. Paul Martin had his companies in cay, and, what will JT move to Nevis? Family trust?

  21. It’s all about celebrity. Doesn’t mater if your an airhead so long as your a good looking airhead.
The cult of celebrity collapses eventually – witness the capture of El Chapo in Mexico. Vanity took him out. He wants to make a movie of his life and so he meets in the jungle with the fool Sean Penn – for 7 hours. Of course Mexican authorities get wind of this and even though Penn/Shorty use throw away cell phones they track Penn and voila El Chapo goes down.
Haha the celeb/cult worshipers get what’s coming to them. The FBI might take a dim view of Penn’s involvement with the drug world’s king.
Zero might have to spend some political capital saving one of his vacuous Hollywood ‘friends’.

  22. Well, it costs us every time a PM travels, including on vacation. It’s obvious Trudeau is living the life he has been accustomed to, expense to the tax payers be damned. A sea change from the Harper time in Office and it’s for certain if Harper had taken such a trip the papers would be ragging on it ad nauseum.

  23. “Problem lies in the fact we have no idea who the hell is really running the country…”
The bureaucracy always runs the “government”. Cabinet Ministers are allowed to pretend otherwise for politics only. That’s why other than what idiotic policies and legislation these twits attempt and the bureaucrats feel like implementing, the leviathan just runs by its self. It’s quite likely that this bureaucracy being unionized Trudeau-Selfy motivated, most will change behavior from one of defiance and political sedition under Harper to one of “more” cooperation with their natural governing LPC brain trust.
As above, perhaps the Spawn might just as well party-on at taxpayers expense as it’s less costly than having him legislate. However, given the lack of thrift and thought driving his agendas, he won’t have any trouble running up the debt so maybe the least costly path would be to hope that Butts has an accident that prevents him from the job of thinking for the PM thus keeping him in a state of permanent intellectual paralysis.

  24. It is interesting to observe the personalities of various persons elected to high public office. One thing to attain the coveted position, but another to then face the reality of it.
I always felt that Prime Minister Trudeau is a man who likes his space. He likes his time with family and added to that appearances where he just has to show up. The reality of being virtually on tap 24/7 must hit very hard indeed.
I remember John Diefenbaker. He lived and breathed parliament. He could not wait but to get up and get at it. Stephen Harper was mentally prepared to do what he had to.
Somehow and that includes President Obama, there are men that realise they have bitten off more than they can chew. The reality must be galling to them- hence repeated “getaways”. All at public expense.

  25. The bureaucracy under Harper did not run the government. I guess that is what made them mad.

  26. since being elected: 7 days of parliament sitting in House of Commons, 10 days of sitting on the beach. nice. #becauseits2016

  27. Did all his ‘friends’ fly on the government plane? One of those journos might want to check the manifest.
Allison Redford was skilled at using the taxpayers air fleet. Didn’t work out well for her. Bongo may well turn out to be a fraudster just like her.
Unfortunately the press refuses to do it’s job when it comes to bongo. They spin it for him. They think their job is to explain Ottawa to us instead of explaining us to Ottawa.

  28. No, it’s not just you,Wally.
And wait until the brilliant International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland negotiates those trade deals with India and China, we’ll be in the pink, or is it red?

  29. How many of Trudozo’s vacationing “friends” are Media comrades? Anyone seen Mansbridge or Andrew Coyne lately? At least we don’t have to suffer the torture of listening to the lispy drama teacher while he acts out his daily scripts.

  30. Good news… the intrepid Glen (robocalls) Macgregor has been employed by the PMO to make excuses and run some PR for clowny the PM… no big deal says MacGregorie, plus Harper bad. The Media say its no big deal, surprising… at least it wasn’t a “16 dollar orange juice” right Glen? Asshole.

  31. That creepy McGregor created the Duffy scandal out of personal vindictiveness. He is completely without morals, just perfect for the Trudeau government.

  32. I trust that as we write, the CBC is actively investigating the whole cost of his security detail over the holidays. As we all remember the pant wetting that occurred when PM Harper had the gall to have a security detail when he was in India.

  33. I assume all PM’s have advisers who do research into all issues….. the bureaucrats grunting about keeping busy and passing on info. However, the PM of the day has to mull it all over and decide what and how to act on the info he is given, they have to know what advice is best to act on. I can’t believe Trudeau is capable of making the tough decisions from information given him. Harper was tuned in,capable of deciding for himself what advice he should take and act on. We had the feeling he was in charge. Not so with Glamour Boy.

  34. Well, McGregor is home where he belongs with the Liberals and they’re welcome to the prig/prick.

  35. The creep factor with MaGregor is very strong indeed, a sneering sociopath, the perfect “Liberal”. He’s got a face you just wanna punch.
