  1. The Liberals’ platform is very easy to understand. If they complained about the Conservatives doing it, they will do exactly the same.
Liberals launch online ad campaign to promote refugee plan
The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship’s online campaign will cost $535,000 and will run until March 31, 2016.
The campaign marks the first new advertising effort under the federal Liberals, who were elected on a platform that promised deep cuts and tight restrictions on federal advertising.
Lberal red seeping into messaging on non-partisan government websites
Justin Trudeau’s Liberals came to power with a promise to end what they viewed as the Conservatives’ blatant abuse of taxpayer-funded advertising and websites to promote their partisan agenda.
Yet Liberal red is quickly working its way into public-service messaging as the new government settles into power.

  2. Trudeau personally greeted the first load of “refugees”, the whole World is paying attention to our celebrity Prime Minister. When you make it into Vogue, the World becomes your oyster, what else could possibly matter? This kind of drama could not be written, he’s winging it…or going rogue.
We are not in safe hands.

Delusional and deranged and in denial of the blindingly obvious history of the planets climate and of the reality of the use of coal/fossil fuels for power generation in Asia – to be charitable to the eco-fascist brain dead tree hugging knuckle dragging sub-species of primordial monkey morons with their faces covered up who are standing protesting at the climate change conference.
Please excuse them – they have not got enough grey matter to think about the reality of countries like China (No. 1 polluter) and India (No.3 polluter) very soon No. 2 polluter overtaking America (which is reducing its CO2 emissions) who will each use as much coal each year for the next 25-30 years as the whole of EU Europe did each year for the last 10 years. China and India are importing tens of millions of tonnes of coal from Indonesia each year, India (according to the BBC today) will will open a new coal mine a month till 2020.
To add to the reality, India will be increasing the use of coal which will triple its greenhouse gas emissions in the next 15 years, and will not start reducing its emissions till 2050.
Anything agreed in Paris will be utter garbage.”

It was disappeared. Made into a non-programme.

What’s The Point Of The Met Office? looked at the history of weather-forecasting in Britain, going back to the days when the Victorians set out to reduce the number of shipping disasters by predicting conditions off our coasts.

We interviewed an archivist, various amateur weather buffs and people whose livelihoods could be affected by bad weather.
The show began with a fruity clip from the Royal Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire, where a farmer with a wonderful rustic burr ruminated on old rural superstitions about the weather. We chatted to Jeremy Corbyn’s charming meteorologist brother, Piers — an expert on sunspots and one of the most untidy men I’ve met. He argued that the ‘purpose latched’ onto the Met Office was ‘to promote and defend and propagate the man-made climate change theory’.

  5. Prison-released market/money historian extraordinaire Martin Armstrong has some history on brokered conventions. A reply to a reader who told him about how they kept Ron Paul out.

The delegate system is also a pretense to an election. It does NOT have to reflect what the people vote on any more than the Electoral Collage. The 2000 election was the most recent when Bush won the election with the Electoral College vote, 271 to 266, but not the popular votes since Gore won 540,000 more votes than Bush. Back in 1824, John Quincy Adams was elected president despite not winning either the popular vote or the electoral vote. Andrew Jackson was the winner in both categories. Jackson received 38,000 more popular votes than Adams, and beat him in the electoral vote 99 to 84. Despite his victories, Jackson didn’t reach the majority 131 votes needed in the Electoral College to be declared president. In fact, neither candidate did. The decision went to the House of Representatives, which voted Adams into the White House. That was a “brokered” deal that made Jackson mad and he destroyed the Bank of the United States (central bank) not for any economic reason, but because they funded his opponents. It was pay-back time.

From the story there appear to be 3 reasons why CHCH went bankrupt:
    Unifor
Power costs in Ontario of $15-30k a month
End of funds from the Local Programming Initiative Fund. Too much of the LPIF went to CBC.
    Socialism at work.

  8. Liz, I would hazard a guess those refugees were part of the previous government’s program of family reunification, as we note many of the current group are sponsored. Interested if anyone can shed further light on that.

  9. I regret that. I kind of liked that little station and continued to watch it on the west coast.

  12. What is ironic is that I think Trump is an outlet for all those people disgusted with manipulation and deception by the left. Trump is not whipping up people’s anger. The anger is out there. Trump at least gives people hope that there will be a more honest assessment of how immigration is impacting the US. Trump becomes the left’s scape goat for their own fail plans.

  13. At least we don’t have to put up with his crooning anymore, he died in 98.
What? Oh, you like him? Sorry.
