Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I was sad that he didn’t become presidential candidate in 08. He would have taken Obama apart in the debates.
Very sad news. He was a good man and will be missed.
Played the aircraft carrier commander in the film The Hunt for Red October with Sean Connery and Alex Baldwin.
We saw him speak on the 2008 National Review post-election cruise. Along with Mark Steyn, he was one of the highlights and came across as a decent human being. He would have been a very good president in my humble opinion. Too bad “decent” doesn’t sell better these days.
R.I.P.
A fine gentleman. RIP.
He wouldn’t be happy that Snowden was granted asylum in Europe.

Fred Thompson was highly-respected – an intelligent, honourable conservative man.
May he now soar with the eagles.
Actually, Fred did run for the Republican nomination in 2008, but he made a half-ass attempt and did not get many votes.
I think he would have made an excellent president. He just didn’t want to do it. Instead we got a glib marxist with a messiah complex.
I doubt that any democracy in the history of earth has ever elected a leader who did more harm to their own country than 0bama.
He was my guy in 2008. We got McLame instead. He would have been a much more effective candidate than that pathetic squish. Imagine him on the debate stage with JugEarsMcFoodstamp. NO. CONTEST. Thanks GOP establishment!
RIP
One of his most memorable HFRO lines might have been written to describe the Obama presidency (and for that matter, Le Dauphin’s impending reign):
“This will get out of control. This will get out of control, and we’ll be lucky to live through it.”
If Hillary lives as long she will be a onetime space holder

Bless you Fred Thompson, I will miss you for now.
See you on the other side.
Actually Angela Merkel is giving Obama a run for the money in terms of harm to one’s country. Hope. Progress. Change. But what kind of progress has Obama brought?
Fred Thompson was one of the good ones.
RIP Fred Thompson.
I will miss your twitter feed.
Gawker seems intent on justifying its plummeting Alexa ratings.
Great man.
RIP Sir.
