Truth vs Immunity

From Noah Rothman’s “Washington’s Sickness Exposed“:

Even by today’s standards of rabid partisanship, the breast-beating threat-display from Democrats and members of the press alike to which voters were privy yesterday was something to behold. The message has been clearly received: Republicans, back off from the nest in which Barack Obama’s anointed Democratic successor is incubating.

Exhibit A: The NYT’s Maureen Dowd:

Trey Gowdy and his blithering band of tea-partiers went on a fishing expedition…It was a revealing display of hard-core conservatives in their parallel universe, where all their biases are validated by conservative media. They crawled out of the ooze into the sea of cameras, blinking and obtuse. Ohio’s Jim Jordan, bellowing. South Carolina’s Gowdy, sweating..

Hillary acted bemused, barely masking her contempt at their condescension. She was no doubt amazed at what an amateur job they were doing at character assassination.

They’re only doing it because she’s black.

  1. The Media in Canada do the same thing, they protect their own. Remember the Canadian Media cartel telling the Conservatives that they wouldn’t run any Conservative “attack ads” against the idiot actor the Media wanted in the PMO? Exposing and exploiting the myriad of idiotic statements made by Gerald Butts muppet would not be tolerated, not by the Media. Don’t call him Justine the Media would say, even though thats his name and thats how its spelled. Then of course the Media took offense to the Conservatives calling Justin Justin… don’t call Justin Justin said the Media, we don’t like it. The Media declared that any criticisms of their candidate Justine or Gerald Butts policies were not mere criticisms but rather, “attacks”. The Media protect their own, the Media set the rules of discourse and the Media set the narrative. Its no surprise the Media embrace the concept of “political correctness” just as its no surprise the Media see themselves as the enforcers of “political correctness”. The good news is we have a complete idiot as PM, I know this because the Media said so.

  2. The Canadian media, having succeeded in replacing Harper after a decade of malign attacks has now taken to finding his replacement as leader of the CPC. One pundit suggested that he can’t be Jason Kenny as he is also from Calgary and the country just won’t stand for another PM from Calgary. Another claimed that Harper’s successor must be someone from the progressive end of the spectrum. IOW, the opposition and alternative to the Spawn and his party of progressive nihilism must be their clone.

  3. Hmpfffffff.
I thought they were doing it because she’s a woman.
For me….I remind the liberal left that discriminating against stupidity is perfectly legal. Further, it is my conviction that having black skin and/or a vagina is no excuse for idiocy. When idiots meet the consequences of their actions, social justice is done.
    Let’s FRY the bitch!

  4. Trey Gowdy proved beyond any doubt that Joe(hair-plug)Biden, Hilliar and Obama, are liars,
even in front of the whole world, They lied about the Video getting brave young Americans killed,
Hair-Plugs is still standing in front of the untrustworthy media and telling the same old crap.
We all know that the Video had nothing to do with the attack,
She is untrustworthy and not fit to be president.
But as you Canadians now know, In the universe of Liberal low information voters,
    Untrustworthy- is a frigging virtue..

  5. It’s obvious to anyone with any capacity for unobscured observation that mainstream media is a corporate whore for government and elite agendas. Has been since the turn of the last century.
However, as we see here, as soon as MSM deceit is published, there is exposure of the lies and counter argument. This the next stage of the information war. Mainstream media lies, deceit, and propaganda are being dramatically exposed in real-time at an alarming rate (to them and their government clients). Anyone following alternative media knows this is true.
We are in an information and survival battle that is best described as ‘humanity versus the globalists’. For those of us fully awakened, we have to be scratching our heads wondering, what next, what else can we do to turbo-boost the info war against statist despotism?
Well consider that there are two kinds of people on earth; those who want to control you to do their biding and those who simply want to be left alone. MSM, politicians and their special interest are the control freaks , you are the latter. You see this is an info war as evidenced by the last elections in the US and Canada. You see the players in the MSM have gone openly global with the climate change robber barrons openly musing how they took out Abbot and Harper with MSM to further their agenda – IT REALLY IS A WAR.
What will wake up the zombie voter hypnotized by globalist media narratives – how can the alternative media reach them? We need to find answers because the alternative is open revolution of the makers against the takers.

  6. The news media here in america pretmuch supports Hillary against all her crimes showing just what a bunch of pathetic bootlickers they are since the media pretty well supports the demac-RATS in every election

  7. The Dowd article is one scary read, as is the NYT comment section. No facts, just innuendo and attempting to paint a certain image. No attempts to hide Dowd’s hatred of those who would dare to base an inquiry on facts, rather than image. I know it happened in Canada, and it worked here – people heard the Harper image so much that they eventually accepted it as fact. At least the US has people like Gowdy who are willing to stand up for truth, and not coach it in “acceptable” terms for the MSM. The facts are that Clinton knew of the danger, did nothing about it, and then lied afterwards. Dowd is not concerned with that, only with Cinton’s mannerisms (as interpreted by Dowd, of course). “They brought no new facts” is how Dowd dismisses the inquiry. Ummmm…since when did a fact need to be new to be worthy of consideration? Hillary has yet to answer for the old facts, and Dowd would like to keep it that way.

  8. Maybe you can fool most of the people all the time.
Note the exoneration of that IRA civil servant goes unchallenged in the same press.
    Not a smidgen of corruption.
How true, just total over the top corrupt practises in government.
The message is served, Laws are for the little people and the beltway protects its own.
Now the Clinton years were a clear precursor of the Obamanation to follow.
Lying to the American People is A OK with the Presstitutes as long as you are a Demoncrat.
Now the message is compounded, the institutions of governance are tools of the elected elites, without challenge or even a blink from the elected opposition.
And there is no 4th estate, just another wing of government, Ministry of Truth.

  9. I tried to read Dowd’s article yesterday but couldn’t get through it. Mark Steyn nails it with a radio interview he did on his site.
Hillary is without peer when it comes to lying – well maybe Bill is her equal. Her venal character will stop at nothing to achieve what she wants. I think she may just have too much baggage this time. I like the old saying, ‘friends come and go but enemies hang around’.

  10. Sophia A. Nelson: “My questions for Congress and specifically the Benghazi committee are: What do you want from this woman? What do you want her to admit to? Does anyone really believe that Clinton would have wanted one of her ambassadors to die in an attack by Libyans?”
The issue is whether Obama or Clinton cared enough to try to prevent or repel the Benghazi attack if they had foreknowledge of it.
If they knew about it and did nothing, for various political reasons, then “what we want from this woman” and from the President is the end of their poltical lives.
Nelson may well have some generally valid points, but not on this specific issue.

  11. FWIW, Maureen Dosd is spot on with this:
“As a senator, she [Hillary, obvi] made a political vote to let W. invade Iraq. As much homework as she did to get ready for the Libya committee, she chose not to do her homework on Iraq in 2002 — neglecting to read the sketchy National Intelligence Estimate. She didn’t want to seem like a hippie flower girl flashing a peace sign after 9/11.
Then she urged President Obama to help topple Muammar el-Qaddafi without heeding the painful lesson of Iraq — that if America went into another nebulously defined mission, there would have to be a good plan to prevent the vacuum of power being filled by militant Islamic terrorists.
Since she was, as her aide Jake Sullivan put it, “the public face of the U.S. effort in Libya,” one of the Furies, along with Samantha Power and Susan Rice, who had pushed for a military intervention on humanitarian grounds, Hillary needed to stay on top of it.

But Libya was the country where she was the midwife to chaos. And she should have watched that baby like the Lady Hawk she is.”
I know its a lot to ask but if Republicans gave up on Benghazi specifically and focused on the Libya debacle generally they might get some traction. Wasn’t the inadvisability of overthrowing a tyrant with no credible plan to replace him with a stable government the big Democratic take-away from Iraq? So what did they do in Libya?

  12. While Dowd is, in my opinion, a very creative writer she is an absolute dunce when it comes to her subject and content. She’s wrong on nearly everything and when she’s right, it’s for the wrong reasons.
