  1. Sure wish Carson had been around to run against Bammy in 2008. He did well versus Blitzer and seems very capable. You noticed that Wolf was digging for specifics on Carson regarding the ‘gun in the ribs’ incident. No doubt the dirty opposition digging troops in the Media Party will be out to find details of that incident to be used against Carson. In other words, Carson will be vetted, unlike his dermis analogue in the Democrats. When it comes to the media vetting conservative candidates of colour the motto is: Black Lies Matter. This does not, however, seem to apply to liberal candidates or politicians such as Bammy.

  2. He’s a bit too mild-mannered for my taste but Carson was positively masterful in this “interview”.
Was Blitzer badgering him? Perhaps a bit milder badgering than we are used to, but badgering nonetheless, it seems to me.
(Roughly) “So you want to arm kindergarten teachers”. Blitzer = asshole.
And man, that comeback on the university instructing the students on what to do AFTER the massacre.
    Throw everything possible at him.

  3. Ben Carson is a good, intelligent guy – and has understood that most media is not seeking to report on issues, but to work on their agenda. Wolf Biltzer is a prototype of these journalists without ethics. Ben Carson will continue to do well because he is authentic, making his “low energy” statements, he doesnt need to hide, weigh every word because he has convictions. Not like the actress HRC, no convictions found there, only a difficult relation with the truth. The issue is that she acts, everytime one sees her “acting” authentically it is getting worse. Amongst the candidates that have shown up so far in both parties, Ben Carson is a good choice for the USA.

  4. It is obvious the US mas media is a corporate media connected to and working for the fascist statism which the Beltline power elite run and advocate. Key to fully implementing corporate fascism is civilian disarmament – Nazi Germany was the ultimate “gun free zone”.
In this telling interview we see an American citizen who is aware of the civil liberty safety valve the constitution provides debate a propagandist from the corporate fascism of the new American Left (Straussian left – look it up folks this is the Dem party now, not Marx) https://ndpr.nd.edu/news/24717-the-german-stranger-leo-strauss-and-national-socialism/
Carson is secure in the fact that the 1st and second amendment are linked – they are – free speech is supported by an armed citizenry able to resist any tyranny which wishes to suppress free speech (or any other civil liberty) – ironically the modern US MSM is disconnected from this constitutional construct because they think the freedom enjoyed by the media is linked directly to ass-kissing the despots in Washington and the DNC and not the citizen’s ability to overthrow a tyrant who would silence the press.
We don’t have a political problem with anti freedom control freak politicians – Modern corporate-government media IS the problem.

  5. A couple weeks back I had to take the barge to Detroit from Windsor. On the American side they have a small building to process the trucks and people. In the waiting room they had a picture of Ben Carson on the wall and it had a message about curing Obama Care on it. A black guy runs the terminal and he has a government job. Maybe there is hope after all.

  6. No matter how you feel on the issue or about Blitzer and Carson, that was some very skillful verbal fencing on both sides of the table.

  7. “Sure wish Carson had been around to run against Bammy in 2008”
Absolutely, the fact that he is black would have caused heavy confusion in the minds of the color voters, washing out the black and white racist polarization of Liberal voters.
He nails the Gun Control issue as an intelligent Conservative man who understands the facts both from experience and education.
Wolff Blitzer is a water carrying shill for the Democratic Party, a Limousine Liberal who would sell his mother for a dollar if it helped the Anti Israel, Anti American Liberal Agenda.

  8. Wow. Carson is thoughtful, reasonable, balanced and empathetic. To Blizter’s credit he never took his feet off the gas. His questions were hard and direct. His cross-examinations were logical. Other candidates like Hillary or Trump would have come off sounding either insensitive or stupid. Tough interviews give us the chance to see the whole package – strip away the chaff and see the quality of character. Carson’s answers were complete, sharp and respectful. Carson is a winner – Americans would do very well with him at the helm. I also like other candidates like Cruz, Fiorina, Rubio and Christie. Any of them are very capable and worthy of a good degree of trust. Thanks for posting Kate.

  9. I hadn’t followed any of the “controversy” surrounding Carson prior to this. A few days ago two colleagues were mentioning what a nutball Ben Carson was. Seems darn reasonable and super intelligent to me. But the deliberate out of context spin that the media attaches to every non-Leftist politician is what creates these perceptions. What’s most sad is that few in the public know that they’re being manipulated.

  10. Carson is a HUGE problem for the Liberal left because they know that being BLACK will draw volumes of racist Liberal voters from the Democrat to the Republican vote.
Other than those LIV vote losses suicides utilizing large urban bridges around the nation will skyrocket in 2016 reducing their numbers further.

  11. Carson is an accomplished neurosurgeon, which is probably what Washington DC needs, to cut through all the politically correct dross that infects the region.
He comes across measured, well spoken and intelligent; in a word the “Anti-Obama-Nation™”.

  12. “But the deliberate out of context spin that the media attaches to every non-Leftist politician is what creates these perceptions. What’s most sad is that few in the public know that they’re being manipulated.”
    Exactly, well stated.
To that point, on my walk this AM I caught the last part of a CBC interview with the Semi-gloss Pony.
I can’t say for sure how CBC is doing on money, but I can pretty much guarantee you that they are currently almost out of softballs.

  13. Carson understands that liberty depends on sovereignty of the individual, that the right to pack heat is synonymous with the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The US is the last place on earth where this right still exists – albeit as a tenuous residual constitutional tenant under constant attack by statist parasites and preening progressives. Blitzer, like all his ilk (likely at least 60% of Canadians) has nothing but contempt for free born citizens not willing to outsource all their adult responsibilities to the state. Their worldview of humanity is that of the capacity of ants. No one individual should assume to be sovereign enough to rise to the level of the sacrosanct state, in their mind.
The best test of liberty is gun ownership. Nothing could be more telling. Do you have any responsibility for acting to assert and defend your natural right to life or are you a helpless drone – legally stripped of effective tools to do so and instead forced to rely on the state. If this were a national poll, Canada would fail. Canadian’s overwhelming progressive attitude towards gun ownership is exclusively in the realm of a dispassionate concession for those rural and “neanderthal” hunters and target shooters.
Carson would likely be a great President.

  14. John Chittick >
“The best test of liberty is gun ownership”
    Absolutely!
A government that doesn’t fear it’s citizens armed is a government of the people and for the people.
A government that fears and disarms it’s citizens does so as an enemy and enslaver of it’s citizens.

  15. I agree with your assessment of Carson being a good choice on the ticket. I also agree with Fiorina, Cruz, and Rubio on the ticket, but I am not sure about Christie. Christie has a bit of a RHINO smell.
Occam, “Modern corporate-government media IS the problem.” Bingo! Both in the US and Canada. Only Fox bucks the cabal of Canadian Laurentian Elites and the US Martha’s Vineyard gang.
Robert W., “But the deliberate out of context spin that the media attaches to every non-Leftist politician is what creates these perceptions. What’s most sad is that few in the public know that they’re being manipulated.” This has been going on for decades and our leftist visitor John is a prime example of what decades of brainwashing has done.
Carson did an excellent job of sparing with Blitzer and countering every effort of Blitzer’s to trap or trip him up. Carson appears to be one smart fellow.
Any combination of Carson, Rubio, Fiorina, Cruz on the ticket would be positive for the US.

  16. Sure wish we had like buttons on here Kate.Lots to like on here, and I wouldn’t have to embarrass myself.

  17. Spend a little time thinking about it there are sheep and wolves the wolves survive the sheep do not better a live wolfe than 20 dead sheep

  18. I actually fear that Dr. Carson is far too intelligent, too educated, too moral, too rational, too logical, too objective, too … too … GOOD for the job. Too overqualified for the office of President.
