Reader Tips

In tonight’s passing amusement en route to the tips we watch two short Plymptoons in one pass: First, a couple of choice moments from “25 Ways to Quit Smoking”, and then a clip from How To Kiss.
The comments are open, as always, for your Reader Tips.

  1. “How can the so-called reporter write this and NOT connect the dots.” The reason is because the reporter has received his education in the past twenty or thirty years and as such has been brain damaged by Academia, the average American/Canadian voter has been similarly damaged. The general populace in America and Canada cannot connect the dots and link what is happening in Europe and the Middle East to what we have in store for us here if we continue down this socialist/progressive road.

Liberal Heads exploding in the comments section.
So here is my take: Harper is playing the opposition like a fiddle. When ‘outrage’ is your standard M.O., it is very easy for the PM to make you ‘outraged’. Now, if I was a Liberal or Dipper I would do my best to avoid issues that I am at odds with the majority of Canadians on. In other words, were I a Liberal or Dipper, I would not climb to the highest peak I could find to shout “screw-you Canadians, we don’t care what you think!”; but, our Liberal and Dipper Leaders cannot resist. Why? 1) Because they are ‘outraged’; 2) because they wrongly project their ‘outrage’ to average Canadians( not realizing that Canadians are in fact ‘outraged’ at the thought of 1000s of Syrian refugees coming to Canada). The Liberal and Dipper Leaders are outraged that the PM would take action against what they consider ‘settled politics’, and they just can’t help themselves as they rush to the gallows.
Finally, by egging-on the Liberal and Dipper Leaders to ‘demand more refugees'(and other similar issues), the Opposition Leaders reinforce in the minds of Canadians how out of touch they are. You could say the PM is providing the Progressive Infidels the rope they will use to hang themselves.
    Cheers

  5. Of course Indiana, now that the story has been proved to be a falsehood, but kept alive long enough for a couple of hours to cue opposition outrage and talking points, we can of course expect an apology to PMSH from the mediocracy. I know – not gonna happen because Harper is so “mean spirited,” so it’s OK to lie about and slime him. Message to voters from the progressives: “Don’t think, believe what we tell you, even though we don’t have a clue, so you needn’t either, because, even though we’re idiots, Harper and Canadian prosperity has got to go:”
“Conservative Leader Stephen Harper has acknowledged that his government asked for an audit of Syrian refugee cases earlier this year, but denies that any political staff were involved in vetting those files. Harper, responding to a Globe and Mail story, said that when it comes to admitting refugees, his government ensures the selection of the most vulnerable people while keeping the country safe and secure.”
“The audit we asked for earlier this year was to ensure that these policy objectives are being met. Political staff are never involved in approving refugee applications,” Harper said. “Such decisions are made by officials in the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.”

  7. The same day that Kevin McCarthy drops out of the House Speaker race, THIS is reported:
“An Internet address originating from the Department of Homeland Security was tied to entries made on the Wikipedia pages of North Carolina Rep. Renee Ellmers and California Rep. Kevin McCarthy, alleging that the two Republicans were having an affair.
It is unclear if someone at the federal agency actually was behind the edits, which were first noted by Washington Free Beacon reporter Lachlan Markay. But both changes — McCarthy’s and Ellmers’ — show that a user at the IP address, 216.81.81.85, made them on Thursday.
That address comes from DHS’ offices in Springfield, Va.
An alleged affair between McCarthy, the House Majority Leader, and Ellmers, became the source of intense speculation on Thursday after McCarthy announced in a closed-door meeting that he was dropping out of the race to replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House.”
