Disagree with Rolf, I enjoyed thhis video tour. Been watching it go up over the last year and finally get an idea of just how impressive this new stadium will be. I just hope we’ll have a team worthy of it by 2017.
Had to scroll through to the end to find out where it was. At 1-11 this season, who cares?
Fans care, even from Calgary. Already texted my cousin in Regina to put me down for a season ticket when they go on sale. He can use it when I can’t make the game. REAL fans don’t drop their team because of a bad season. Still bleeding green!
I’m kinda surprised that there’s only 30,000 seats, same as the old Taylor Field. I know they’re not going to sell out every game, but it’d be nice to have the extra room; Commonwealth Stadium seats over 60,000.
Or is it maybe expandable in the future, like Commonwealth was? My connection is too slow to watch all the way to the end..
There is nothing tax payer dollars cannot build!! enjoy!! Such a waste of money .
All I can say is awesome. It is well deserved to a good province. Hope Sask. Rough Riders the best of luck in the new stadium when they get to play in it.
Our town (Minneapolis) used to have one domed stadium for Pro and College Football, Baseball, and even the Final Four Basketball. It was all of 32 years old when they tore it down. Now we have to have separate baseball, college and pro football stadiums. The professional soccer league even wants their own stadium too. And the politicians gave them the billion plus dollars to build all of them too.
I might have paid for a seat or two with my taxes, but the only one I can actually afford to use is my couch in front of the TV. The nice thing is the drinks are cheap, the food is good, and I don’t have to walk up 50 steps to use the restroom.
My first thought. I just don’t understand why nominal conservatives think taxpayers should subsidize their entertainment tastes this way.
bread and circuses.
This sort of thing happens in every jurisdiction in North America.
