  1. I used to fly regularly for business, starting back when when you could run up to the gate at the last minute, smoke in your seat and wander up to the cockpit for a chat or a looksee. Now, I need a damn good reason to get anywhere near an airport. At 6’4″, 240lbs, I get the impression most airlines don’t even want me in their seats anymore. Flying cattle cars packed full of so-called customers who are all considered potential terrorists until proven otherwise.
If I can deadhead it in a rental car, I’ll take the freedom and the danger of the open highway any day, thank you.

  2. You could warn us about the CBC link, now I feel like I need a shower. If a stray cell phone is such a security risk the airlines should probably start collecting them all in a box at the gate and return them upon arrival. Nice to see how the left vilifies a well intentioned person in the comments at the communist broadcasting corp site.

  3. The problem was she was white. We all know how white, female terrorists are running around using cell phones as triggering devices to blow up airplanes. Can’t even do a good deed these days! Sheesh.

  4. Yep if it was Mohamed Ivanabombyou from pakistan the preezy of the united steezy would have probably met with him.

  5. I am retired now but I used to take about four flights a week and went from what you described to a lightweight security. I will no longer fly because I really do not have to get anywhere that fast.
