In The Mail

From left-wing activist in Montreal and Toronto to Conservative Party campaigner in Ottawa, Fred Litwin tells a captivating coming-out story that will delight and upset right-wingers and progressives alike. There is intrigue with the Iranian embassy, a fiercely critical examination of the gay establishment in Canada, an exposé of the politics driving senior CBC managers, and a behind-the-scenes look at the conservative movement’s nasty and shadowy “counter-jihad” subculture. And a lot more.

  1. I get the shadowy, but how can a counter-jihad movement be nasty from any perspective other than Islamist?

  2. The conservative movement’s nasty and shadowy counter-jihad culture?
He wants, what, a warm, cuddly, compassionate anti-jihad culture?
He wants to build bridges and start a Muslim outreach programme?
    Start a dialogue?
Sounds like only a partial coming out to me.

  3. “the conservative movement’s nasty and shadowy “counter-jihad” subculture”
Sounds like a tin foil hat conspiracy to me. Set it on the back shelf with “Purple Aliens Killed JFK”.

  4. I think you can translate “nasty” into “they want to kill those poor, misunderstood jihadists” and “shadowy” into “nobody trusted me for some reason”

  5. I’ll read it for sure. This guy is completely nuts. A gay conservative who likes muslim head choppers? I’m in.

  6. Off topic, but an interesting development in the Syrian boy on the beach….Perhaps another disturbance in the narrative?
“A woman who was on the boat carrying drowned Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi has accused his father of being a people smuggler.
Channel Ten reported Zainab Abbas, who lost two children in the tragedy, claims Abdullah Kurdi was at the helm of the boat when it sunk off the Turkish coast.
“He was a smuggler, yes. He was the one that was driving the boat,” the woman told Ten over Skype from Iraq through a translator.”

  7. Oh, and anyone using a phrase _______ culture is not on board.
Recall the chic new phrase “rape culture”.
    There isn’t one.
You gotta take short cuts today.
If I see a “something culture” phrase or the word “systemic” I head for the hills.
And you gotta laugh at this cat’s business acumen.
Someone’s gonna buy a book about a liberal becoming a partial conservative? In Canada?!
Now Kate writing a book on finally seeing the progressive light. That would SELL.

  8. Yes it’s amazing that they don’t seem to understand that the only people who – sort of – like men who like men, are women that only like women.

  9. Apologies for the double post. reCaptcha is being exceedingly dickish today. What happened to the photos of signs, street numbers. etc? They were quite easy to read.
The first post occurred, even though I told the browser to stop loading it. I suspected that I had guessed one of the characters wrong, and wanted a re-do. I tried the “audio” one for the second post, and it was 4 numbers, spoken by 4 voices, but not too hard to make out.

They do seem to get upset over the suggestion that mental illness should not be celebrated and trying to find out what part of pride they are proud of also leads to some confusion. I suggested that trans gender students should be taught how to use a mirror in grade 1 and the CBC blocked my very logical suggestion. Tried the lobotomy suggestion too. I gave up, since anything logical doesn’t seem to interest them. The gay lobby now advises administrators in the education system so I expect the next generation of students will have a better understanding of how to deal with all this as it compliments their ability to put condoms on cucumbers. Except for the growing number of Muslim students of course. Not sure how they’ll handle that.

  11. Kathleen Wynne absolutely despises Fred Litwin. In a recent TVO debate she wouldn’t even acknowledge his presence in the room. Any Gay who upsets Kathleen Wynne like that is a Gay friend of mine.

  12. You know your a liberal when you the the NRA are a bunch of radical rednecks but the North American Man/Boy Love Association is pretty streight
