We all know CBC moderates comments. Most media outlets will. We do at The Rebel, we may be free speechers but there are people that say things that can get us sued, they spew profanity, they can do all kinds of things. So we moderate, every media outlet does.
So why on earth is CBC doing a story on the Conservative Party moderating comments on their social media feeds, other than the obvious answer – to make the Conservatives look bad.
While the Tories, the NDP and the Liberals all have active Instagram feeds, Meg Sinclair, a spokeswoman for Facebook Canada, said Harper’s account is the only one that has launched ads to date.
–snip–
Many of the early comments on the sponsored posts were critical of Harper and his government’s policies. Those comments have since disappeared.
Who the hell cares on than CBC? This is only about showing the Conservatives in a bad light.
Try this out, go to CBC’s site and leave rude and profane comments and see if they stay up or are deleted. Then drop me a line in the comments to let me know what happens.

Commenting is now closed for this story.
Irony is lost on them.
Interesting article. An aside but I’d appreciate hearing feedback on this. I recently wished to leave a comment at a global news outlet, discovered that one needs a facebook account to be able to comment on the global news site. A facebook account is something I do not, nor never will, have.
Seems like a discriminatory policy to me or am I missing something? On the other hand it explains in part why “voting intention surveys” have been so out to lunch. A group of self centered people that do not wish to hear dissenting views explains a great deal.
Someone once quipped Canadian Broadcorpsing Cashtration
Has anybody posted a comment asking the CBC if it has a story about the NDP or Liberals doing the same? Would be interesting to see the mendacious reply.
I posted:
“I’m happy to hear Canada prioritize helping LGBT refugees. They are heavily discriminated against. I like to point to out that Christians and Jews from those area also face a heighten threat. I hope they get help soon too.”
My comment was deleted. CBC really hate Jews… and Christians.
I have been blocked from posting on CBC for the past month as I have been vocally opposed to Bill C-51, the TPP and Harper/Conservative government. And of course been a repeat poster so that is probably their justification on the blacklist although that policy is not uniformly applied. I have filed a complaint with the PM’s office and the Ombudsmen for the CBC. Makes me sick this level of censorship from the CBC which is funded by Canadians and belongs to us.
All I see are racist bigoted pro-conservative comments on CBC articles. When you try to reply to a conservative, they flag you. Any comments that dare to question a conservative viewpoint are disabled by the mods. My criticism of cops in Chicago over the latest killings by cops was naturally deleted.
To say that the CBC is somehow “left wing” is ridiculous. Harper appointed the majority of the CBC Board Of Directors. And it shows in their comment moderation, their choice of story, their coverage and their choice of headline phrases.
Hello
The comment section of the CBC is getting very bad in terms of censorship. We see twitter and Facebook joining in on the Censorship of rightwing viewpoints globally.
You need to update this story soon. BTW check out infowars.com for more on the censoring sites of Twitter and facebook and how media sites are jumping in.

Also check out why the cbc was removed from the affects of the TPP trade agreement….did they make a deal to promote the globalists viewpoints in order to keep the doors open?
Thanks
My pro Trump comments are invariably “content disabled”.
My anti T2 (Justin) comments are also disabled.
I think they’ve red flagged me..
I’ve lost interest in CBC.. too much ‘politically correct’ BS.
