The Alberta NDP government wants your input into climate change! Survey here!

thanks robert.
I notice one question gives one no choice that is desirable.
At least the Alberta survey allows disagreement with the premise as opposed to a similar survey in BC which allows only preferences of priorities for bad policy.
Except for Question 14.
Yup, question 14 needed an option such as “Go blow a goat.”
I noticed there were several places that didn’t allow me to express my wishes. At least once the only options were ‘green’ options of which I don’t want any. Convinced as I am that AGW is simply a make government operation and the last thing we need is more government.
I handled that well. Too bad the government are all ignorant fools. They make the retard Justin look like Einstein.
My final comment was the Climate Change Panel should be disbanded
“These markets are increasingly demanding cleaner forms of energy. If we don’t take action on climate change locally, Alberta will find itself increasingly isolated and shut out of markets.”
Simply put, the ones that are buying the oil want something different to replace the oil. Alberta won’t have anywhere to sell its oil in the future.
Anyone who can’t detect a huge load of bullsh*t in that statement a)isn’t paying attention
b)is incredibly stupid c)a combination of both
Be sure to supply a postal code in an NDP held riding, eg: T7E ….
I told them that their proposed measures constituted class warfare. Which they do.
Well. Q #14 already tells me they have made up their minds to rape the provinces’s taxpayers. No need to answer any of the rest. But then, they are NDpeers.
Did the survey but was alarmed at the question wanting rating of 1 to 5 as to my concerns when NONE are. Just ignored it as there was no other option. Think anyone will listen to negative reviews?
LOL!
Done. “Correct your fraudulent and incorrect information. Sea levels are not rising, temperatures are not rising, global glacier and sea ice cover is normal.”
Yes where was the None Of The Above Option.
My final comments:
“You really need to see thru the politics and look at ACTUAL measurments from last two decades, not the “predictions” which come in right about 3% of the time.
But you won’t because your as smart as most enviro maniac alarmists.
When the vast majority of the world does nothing, and we waste billions, and the climate continues its slow pace of change, you will all claim “we did it!” Which is as moronic as it gets, as the change was happening anyway.
Lastly, there is a good chance that an Earth which is a few degrees warmer is actually a good thing. Wouldn’t that be something?”
I just wish we could do a better job of embracing climate change.
Think of it; 100% pure Albertan cotton. I can’t wait.
Be afraid Alberta. Be very afraid.
You did not publish the results of the survey. No results included. How can this survey go horribly wrong is nobody knows where it went?
Noted the 30% increase in death of elderly people in Great Britain over the winter month (with link to the paper) and concluded that green electricity has no health benefits as eluded by their questions.
As if the results will make one iota of difference. Alberta gave the thumbs up to the NDP to do as it pleases. This survey is put out for one reason: so that the party Albertans voted for can say “we consulted with the people” when it imposes carbon taxes and other cash grabs under the guise of protecting the environment.
The plan has already been made, the legislation is being drafted, and useless parasites have all been hired to do pretend work in make-believe taxpayer-funded jobs.
My final comment was that they should subsidize the price of sweaters and heavy coats for the poor given that their anti-energy, anti-consumer policies would lead to many people freezing in the dark.
New fracking recovery systems will reduce oil costs to $10 – $20 WTI. As each day goes by the chances of cancelled capital programs being revitalized in Fort McMurray grow dimmer.
Frack oil is not unique to North America. It will establish itself all over the world. I suggest that Canada is fracked along with the Saudis. What was a golden opportunity for Canada has been pissed away. Will those responsible ever be held to account? Not
likely. So Canadian.
They have two days slated for discussion of the future of the province’s economy.
One in Calgary,one in Edmonton.
These are the same people that think 6 months of public discussion on the viability of a single pipeline is not enough.
Alberta is screwed.
The last one to leave, blow out the candle.
I noticed that in comments it did not like the Canadian spelling of ‘favour’, suggesting it was spelled incorrect. I told them to provide a Canadian written survey
Many americans put Global Warming/Climate Change at the bom of the important things and at least 99% of the Hot Aor comes from the various enviromental activists and political hacks and the United Nations as well
Couldn’t agree more!
Surveys like this make me feel like an 18 to 24 year old female who lives in Edmonton…
d) rent seekers
Negative reviews will be discarded as “outliers”, “unhelpful” and “irresponsible”. More expected data molestation from the progressives, who do it best!
I repeat. Alberta did not vote for the NDP; the right;center was split. This is how Bob Rae got in in Ontario – and look how well that went for the province. Even the unions got pissed-off – hehehe!
‘Go blow a goat’ wasn’t an option. LMAO!!
I tried to express my disgust with that question in a comment section. Too bad I hadn’t read your comment first!
I ask them why they had a such a crush on so criminal a scam.
No professional market research firm would allow their name to associated with such a survey, one so obviously designed to produce inaccurate data and invalid conclusions.
And remember people, you can take the survey as often as you’d like. You don’t even have to clear your cache. It’s obviously a completely scientific poll.
I just told them all to hang themselves from one of the many trees in canada.
A perfect example of the Hegelian Dialectic
A contrived crisis is a means to power for those that promote them. Especially if it’s coupled with moral panic.
Comment:
The Hegelian Dialectic is a critical process by which “planners” create a problem, anticipating in advance the reaction to the purported crisis and conditioning us to change that is “essential”. Once the target audience is properly conditioned, the desired agenda is presented as the only solution. The solution is not intended to solve the problem, but rather to exacerbate (but not solve) an existing one and then to serve as the basis for a solution (translate new problem.)
When the newly inflamed difficulty reaches the planned point of a crisis, it becomes the foundation upon which arguments will be made for even more change. Hence, once begun, the process is repeated, over and over, inexorably moving toward whatever end the planners have in mind.
As the process is being driven, arguments are created both for and against certain measures of change, but all discussion is carefully controlled.
The presented solutions — each with varying levels of un-adornment — are then publicly “debated” by the manipulators and their minions. This is done until a perceived compromise has been reached on the best measures to take enroute to solving the crisis.
Then the outcome of the “debate” — which purportedly balances the concerns of the stakeholders with the contrived mandate to do something — is enacted as policy.
We have all been profoundly impacted by use of the Hegelian Dialectic in the effective neutralization of meaningful dialogue in the formulation of policy.
Once we understand how the Hegelian Dialectic is used by planners, we can thwart their machinations by refusing to be swayed by their sophistic fear-mongering and by standing firm against senseless (and very expensive) processes.
“Do you object to Alberta’s incompetent NDP government scamming the taxpayers
with green bullshit and making the party’s rent seeking buddies filthy rich?”
Would have been a good question for their survey.
>
And how Steve has been Prime Minister for the past nine years.
It’s our system.
If you want to change it, the NDP is your party
Ever heard of the concept Less is More?
Welcome to Ontario, Alberta.
#21 You overlooked nuclear power generation. Even oil-rich countries like Iran are pursuing the nuclear option. Makes much more sense for us.
I guess I now live in Albuquerque, NM, T1L! That was fun. Do you think they are sophisticated enough to check my IP address? P.S. Your image captchas are getting harder to read. Saved by the audio! P.P.S: Why do you require another Captcha after a preview?
I believe this survey has made me the victim of a hate-crime. At the end of the survey, they requested my gender and only offered the options, “male”, “female”, “prefer not to say”. Although I was born a biological male, this afternoon I decided to self-identify as a small wheelbarrow. Clearly some people still need their awareness raised.
So I asked them in the comments how much this is going to cost me and for how long?
I volunteered to give them all my savings. Then I asked them if selling my house, my car, and all my other things and handing over the proceeds would do the trick.
How do we know when we’ve solved the problem of Global Warming / Climate Change / Climate Disruption / Climate Whatever?
I volunteered to move out to the BC Interior and live in a tent next to a running stream. Of water.
I told them that this whole scheme is like BC’s Translink on steroids.
Good grief, that’s a scary agenda. I did my part and filled it out. I don’t suppose they’ll like my responses. Who cares?
Me too
I simply told them to do this without raising taxes, levies or fees.
That should keep them busy for the next decade!!!
thanks robert.
