Reader Tips

In tonight’s amusement en route to the tips Estonian group Vägilased and front-woman Meelika Hainsoo show us why festivals and chairs don’t mix, as they get a happy audience on their feet performing steps to a traditional song-game during the annual music festival in Viljandi, Estonia: Here’s the bright and sprightly Linnamäng (“Town Game”). Very nice.
The comments are open, as always, for your reader Tips.

  1. I don’t know much about Estonia. Will I ever go there?? I doubt it. As I age, I heed to Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words.
”I pack my trunk, embrace my friends, embark on the sea and at last wake up in Naples, and there beside me is the stern fact, the sad self, unrelenting, identical, that I fled from”

  2. PRO: Canuck men win gold in baseball !!
CON: Swamp-witch kathleen wynne hands out the gold medals to ’em.

Great work, guys. Thanks for a fantastic game!

  3. The CBC is on the warpath against Pierre Poilievre. Very soon, Canadian households with children will be receiving family allowance cheques. I was a kid once. I got a new Red Ryder BB gun, and a new CCM bike from Mom and Dad’s family allowance cheques that went in a special account at the local Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. John Diefenbaker never let us down.

PS: I’d be curious to see what the CBC had to say when Mulroney stopped the Family Allowance cheques??

  4. And the stupid f#cking CBC didn’t show the Men’s Baseball gold medal game live over the air at all even though the Jays played this afternoon so there wouldn’t be any conflict at 7:05 p.m. for baseball fan viewers. Any Twitter user here want to go and complain about this stupidity for me on the CBC’s (sports?) Twitter feed will earn my gratitude.

  5. Mens gold in baseball, what event is happening that makes it a big deal? And even if cbc did air that game i would not watch it. I am so done with the cbc such a waste of human life and money.
Anyway kathleen carpet muncher wynnebag just ruined any validity of the efforts of these men you know that it was some useless non important b list athletes competing and no doubt tax payer money was wasted in some way.

  6. Can you believe this??
The CBC.Ca is running a story about Tomas Mulcair, the headline reads: ”Tom Mulcair launches campaign-style tour of Ontario.”
Hello Einstein!! There’s an election coming, it’s summer, Parliament is in recess, you don’t need to rattle your brains to figure out why Mulacair is on the road in Ontario.
My commnet was: ” I’m with Harper!! Why?? I love Canada!”
I got 5 likes on my comment within 10 minutes of my post. About 15 minutes later, my comment was deleted. Proof positive that the CBC is actively supporting Mulcair by deleting pro Conservative, and most likeley pro-Liberal comments.

  7. Family allowance cheques are only a bad thing when Conservatives hand them out. When our publicly supported broadcaster decides to play politics we have every right to demand they be called to heel, demand they report the facts free of spin.

  8. I’m glad my taxes are paying for your lifestyle choices.
Remember, government redistribution cheques are only bad when Liberals hand them out.

  9. @Daniel….Kind of like my taxes paying for abortions and gender changing operations. The redistribution cheques the Liberal government handed out we given to their friends (billions in AdScam). That was outright theft yet you apparently aren’t concerned about that and don’t seem to mind that not one person in government went to jail due to the theft.
While I am not in favour of the reborn ‘baby bonus’ program at least it is a small amount of tax money taken from working Canadians to help other working Canadians and hopefully less going to the parasites on welfare.
If you want to keep giving your taxes please send your cheque to the government. I, for one, am sick of paying for parasites (both individual and organizational) that are a complete drain on the system which is swimming in red ink already.
I used to support the Liberals when I was a youngster. I then grew up and have never supported them since. You should do the same. They, and the NDP, are outright liars and only want one thing — power. They don’t care about you or anyone else.

  10. Sharyl Attkisson fact-checks the Washington Post re. Trump’s statements about McCain…
“An article in the Washington Post today is headlined, ‘Trump slams McCain for being ‘captured’ in Vietnam.’
The article’s lead sentence states, ‘Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a decorated Vietnam War veteran, on Saturday by saying McCain was not a war hero because he was captured by the North Vietnamese [emphasis added].’
    Is this report accurate?
In fact, Trump’s actual quote is the opposite of what is presented in the Post’s first sentence.”

  12. Pay for your own damn kids. Pay for your own damn health care. Pay for your own damn sex change if that’s what floats your boat.
As I see more and more CINOs lining up to praise the free money they’re getting from the government, I’m reminded of Shaidle’s Contradiction to Conquest’s First Law of Politics: Every man is liberal about the things he knows best.
It’s great that you’re so in favour the state taking money from me at the point of gun so they can give it to you. There’s certainly no conflict of interest in that position at all.
