The Iranians are unlikely to mind the ten years very much. All nuclear weapons are not created equal. The primitive gun-type fission device can be put together in a matter of weeks if U235 is available in sufficient quantities. A boosted design, much less a full multi-stage device, will take much longer. A US weapons control person I was chatting with a couple of months ago was doubtful that the Iranians could do it even in five years. Reviewing what is in the public domain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapon_design) I see his point.
And then there is the issue of fitting a weapon into a missile. The Americans were prepared to build gigantesque aircraft to carry their early weapons – especially the massive B-36. It is unlikely that anyone would go that route today, especially given the availability of surface-to-air missiles. So the delivery system will be a missile.
Given that the Iranians do not seem to have the technical ability of the Allies, the times needed for development in the West probably will give good estimates of the time the Iranians will take. Let’s see: 1942-1945, from scratch to first fission weapon; 1953, first droppable multi-stage weapon. About 1962, miniaturised weapons and adequate missiles appeared.
So the Iranians have a busy 10 years ahead of them.

It is easy to build a gun-type bomb. Easier to build a conventional bomb salted with radioactivity. A boosted weapon let alone a multistage weapon, not so easy. The Nork tests have not been very convincing in terms of bomb technology.
