If there’s one particular genre of music that gets short shift in our tips music selections it’s heavy metal. Tonight, in the interest of rectifying this lingering injustice, we watch Ken Kunihiro of the Japanese band Poetic Assassin recording the vocal track for Inverti In Darkness.
Let it be a lesson to us all.

  6. How often are you reading, listening to or watching something on TV and you hear, ”In Sweden, (or Norway, Denmark, Finland etc.) that’s how they do it.” Yes, I realize Norway is a nice place to live. And yes I realize that in Saudi Arabia, you can be executed for being gay.
    But in Saudi Arabia, you can buy gasoline for $0.16 cents per liter. In Libya, try $0.11 cents a liter!! How about a walloping $2.11 cents per liter in Norway??
    Now, Alberta is talking carbon tax, and guess who’s pushing for it?? How will it affect gasoline prices??

    You arose my curiosity. I loved the movie, other than the fact that it continuously pokes fun at rural folks. And in the end, local Police chief Marge Gunderson does solve the crime and the movie did win several Academy Awards.
    As for Marge’s High School friend Mike Yanagita, I always assumed that he was the child of WWII Japanese internment camp prisoners. It doesn’t say that anywhere, but there were 100s of such camps during the war. Many prisoners became US Citizens. I didn’t detect a Minnesota accent, in spite of the fact that my grandfather was from Minnesota, however Grandad was born in France, and he kept his ”Clouseau accent.” Cheers!!

    How about a memory of lifting off and the new chopper pilot veering left so hard you almost have your feet up over your head, then he fires down on a suspected machine gun nest,
    only later to find out you just killed six American soldiers trying to defend your departure.
    Or maybe watch a wounded soldier dying and trying to call someones name that none of us could ever figure out what he was saying.
    I don’t do memorial day, never will.
    But when the pampered terrorists start blowing up pussyfied Democrats in their secure cites,
    I will watch with interest..

  15. Joe Citizen, your first link was about the Suncor CEO who is calling for a carbon tax.
    Notley was just given a mandate to increase taxes (i.e. Alberta voted for an NDP majority that wants more stuff while they run a deficit).
    Personal income taxes: won’t go up because she’s a Premier of the people.
    Corporate income tax: could go up but the oil companies don’t want that.
    Oil & Gas Royalties: could go up but the oil companies don’t want that the most.
    Carbon Tax: A totally useless tax that gives voters the initial impression the government is doing something about global warming but does not affect the oil companies directly.
    The foxes are in the barn trying to decide if it’ll be chicken or lamb.
