British Prime Minister David Cameron said he would press ahead with a planned referendum on the country’s membership of the European Union and he promised Scotland the most devolution “anywhere in the world” after his resounding election victory.
“Yes, we will deliver that in-out referendum on our future in Europe,” Cameron said as he addressed the media after visiting Queen Elizabeth to start the process of forming a new government.
Cameron said he would move ahead as fast as possible with a plan to give more powers to Scotland, which voted overwhelmingly for the pro-independence Scottish National Party.
The casualties: Miliband, Clegg — and Farage. UKIP increased their popular vote, but lost a seat.

A few days before the U.K. election, Ray Milibrand promised to pass a law making Islamophobia a criminal offense.
It appears that the electorate were not impressed.
Voters wanting to avoid such a result chose not to split the conservative vote between the Conservatives and UKIP, as that would risk a Labour or Labour coalition government.
As Labour were thrashed, it gives the Cameron government opportunity for increasing counter-jihad policies. What they will do with it is another question.
Now the next big United Kingdom vote will be the referendum on E.U. membership!

I am positively delighted by the result: I have had my doubts about whether Mr. Cameron had it in him, but I am very glad for him, and everybody else, that he did.
One thing I don’t think I need in my life is Alex Salmond and his disgusting attitude: he’s a sort of reverse Lucien Bouchard, with none of the class nor any of the common sense. What kind of loser-ville, really, goes out and slams a freshly-minted majority PM, having already lost a referendum to said PM in the past few months, especially when said loser-ville’s party managed to get the latter elected to the same chamber as the PM? I choose to avert my eyes from this particular train wreck.
On the other hand, one thing I do believe everybody could use a bit more of in their lives is a strong, stable, national majority Conservative government.

Also heartwarming to see the greens pick up only 1 seat. A good indicator that the entire global warming scam has run its course and people are sick and tired of unaffordable utility bills in their race towards 3rd world status.
The eradication of the LibDems removes a millstone from the neck of the Conservatives.
Sad to see Farage resign. Third largest vote total is not all that bad… it’s unfortunate they cannot concentrate those votes into more seats. Finishing second 90 times and first just 1 time is ridiculously unlucky.
In any case, this slows the UK’s descent into socialism. If you add the conservative and uk vote totals you get 50%, which is not bad at all, although the conservatives are less conservative than what you would call conservative in north america.

Farage will likely be back in some form or other. Even though it didn’t translate into seats, the UKIP did triple their share of the vote and stomped the Lib Dem’s and Greens, which is not a bad result at all. They just need to keep up the work in the trenches, building their capacity, keeping their message out there, and resisting getting baited by the trolls in the media.
If you campaign as a conservative, chances are you are going to win. The trick is to govern like
the conservative you campaigned as.
Ronald Reagan nearly took the nomination away from an incumbent president in 1976. He won 2
landslide elections in 1980 and 1984. Promising to be Reagan’s 3rd term, George H.W. Bush
won a crushing landslide in 1988 and was sitting on a 90+ percent approval rating and was a
shoe in for reelection until he violated his no new taxes pledge.
Reagan also had two landslide elections as governor in California. In one of these, he took
all but 2 of California’s 53 counties.
In 1968 and 1972, Richard Nixon won two landslide elections for the presidency. In all of these
elections, the takeaway is that most of these crushing victories included California, New York,
Michigan, the Northeastern states, Ohio, Illinois, Ohio and several other so-called liberal
states. Conservatives can win the states their brain dead advisers tell them to skip as
lost causes. Their flawed statistics tell them to blow off California’s 55 electoral votes.
If the electoral map stays the same as it has been in the past, but included California,
liberals would lose the White House forever.
If the Tories govern like they campaigned, they will be in power for a very long time! The
Brits are no less pissed off at taxes, socialized medicine, rampant Islamiication of their
country, unchecked immigration, political correctness, and left-wing pinheads as American’s
and Canadian’s are.
