Today the Seth Bornstein prize for yellow climate journalism goes to Newsweek.
Last August they tried to infect our psyche’s suggesting the horrific Ebola outbreak was a function of rising CO2 writing, “Ebola and Climate Change: Are Humans Responsible for the Severity of the Current Outbreak?”
This March they hawked the notion that the brutalities of the War in Syria are due to global warming firing off that “Climate Change Helped Create Conditions for War in Syria, Study Suggests.”
Now with tragic deaths from the earthquake-caused avalanche in Nepal, not even the ground we walk on is safe from the devastating effects of climate change, as Newsweek blathers “More Fatal Earthquakes to Come, Warn Climate Change Scientists”
When will the terms “temporary insanity” and “not criminally responsible” be replaced with “climate change”?

Just try telling that to gullible believers.

The only down side to this sorry state of the “news” is that the LIV will never know the difference.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the recent earthquake in Nepal was caused by risng CO2 levels and resultant climate change. No question that the pesky CO2 and higher temperatures percolated 10 kilometers into the earth, to the face of the fault. Anybody who does not subscribe to this fact is obviously a denier./sarc off

I always thought climate had to do with the atmospheric conditions (temp, humidity, wind speed, etc.). Now I find that it includes plate tectonics, too!
But in David Fruitfly’s “Ring of Fire” series, I never once heard him mention that climate change was accelerating plate movements. He must be a fraud!!
And all this time I thought Ebola was a virus.

It does confirm the depth of this insanity when once prominent news outlets can actually put crap like this out for public consumption. I agree with Gord Tulk that their message is now falling more and more on apathetic ears and all polls confirm this. Politicians will be the last ones to admit to this scam as the ability to tax nothing is a wet dream that most embraced with public support that has largely dissipated. There’s a desperation by the IPCC and the UN to continue this hoax as they watch their dreams of world domination slowly evaporate and their “settled science” come under scrutiny by real scientists that continue to point out countless errors and deception going back decades. Most of the media followed the gullible and is looking for a way to backtrack gracefully after 20 years of cheerleading the biggest scam in history. They knew they were in trouble when Global warming suddenly morphed into climate change and winters became colder rather than warmer. Brainwashing is so hard to undo and it will take time, but I believe we’ve turned the corner back towards sanity. When they try to blame earthquakes on CO2, it’s almost a guarantee that they are out of ammo and when Newsweek prints this garbage we also know that real journalists are no longer employed there. Every generation needs their panic and this one will go down in the annals of history as the greatest achievement in snake oil salesmanship in the name of greed , everlasting funding and attempted word domination. Just a shame about the economic destruction in the free world, but China, Russia and India and other less brainwashed countries are very grateful.
