If you expected Lerner to pay a price you have not been paying attention.
Had she talked her fate would have been worse than Menendez’s.
Why would she have to pay any price? She was working for the One. (rhetorical Q for those who can’t think, or are under 50)

The really sad thing about all of this is that the Republicans are almost as morally bankrupt as the Democrats. If we happen to elect a Republican President, and keep the House and Senate being controlled by Republicans, I simply don’t expect to see any change in the growth of government, or in the corrupt practices of political cronyism with powerful and wealthy constituencies.
Until both these parties collapse under the weight of their own corruption, we muppets are simply screwed.

I wonder what the statute of limitations is on this? If Lerner were to be charged and convicted then she could be pardoned by Obama as he leaves office.
A future DoJ under a new President may be able to prosecute and make it stick.
