I sent an email to GHCN with 4 detailed questions around these data. If this were the UK I would definitely get a reply, probably not a satisfactory one, but at least they would reply.
Those on the opposing side of this criminal negligence need to change tactics and start putting these people on trial and sentence them to hard jail time.

Another trick is to increase the current temperature where there are no stationary thermometers. A recent claim that last year was the hottest ever was accompanied by a map that showed the mid Atlantic was significantly warmer than average. Of course, this makes no sense as this is the zone where hurricanes are formed by warm oceans and there hasn’t been a strong hurricane in over 9 years.
You can find all the data tampering you like, it makes little difference. We already have enough evidence to put a lot of ‘important’ people in jail, yet, … they walk freely and still have their fake jobs. So. What do we learn from that? … we are screwed. The elites, power people, numerous special interest groups and fake energy industries and a lot of stupid rank liberals make it a religion. So …. unless those of us who know better mount a violent revolution, nothing will happen and the extortion will continue.. The deletion and invention of data cannot be explained by any glitch in the algorithm. This is deliberate.

The computer function of Multiplying two 16 bit Numbers(multiplexer) produces a 32 bit solution. Rounding 32 bits back to 16 bits results in the least significant bit representing rounding error. The resolution of the original number is exceeded by several orders of magnitude.
