  1. Anyone know abandoned Ontario… ghost towns? Any advice is helpfull! Thanks.
PS … not including the living dead… TO, etc…

  2. Looks like scenes from the walking dead.
They just need to walk Pelosi, Holder, Shrillery, and Barry through any of these scenes to complete the picture.

  3. The coal miners of West Virginia voted Republican in November, for the first time in a couple generations. Looks like the Democrats are losing organized labour in the quest for unicorn wind.

  4. Really enjoyed the pictures. A lot of them are of boom towns which one would expect to not last forever. I enjoy driving through the USA and seeing history. In Canada we usually destroy history. As soon as a building is not useful it is torn down, destroyed. In the USA they are left as a reminder of the past.
The Georgia and Massachusetts psychiatric hospitals abandoned … We need to build many of these facilities for the mentally ill lefties and criminals in this country to keep them off the streets. But instead we practice ‘catch and release’.

  5. America to soon be looking like a third world nation becuase of KING OBAMA the FINK and bring in more from third world nations IMPEACH OBAMA NOW

  6. I could have come up with a better one for Vermont. Fort Montgomery on Lake Champlain. Erected to protect from invasion from Canada soon after the War of 1812. Abandoned before it was completed because it was obsoleted by improvements in cannons, and I assume, since a replacement was not built, an improvement in relations. It still stands there in disrepair. You can buy the whole thing for 3-4 million dollars and build a marina and condos, according to a sign nearby.

  7. There are virtually no Ontario ghost towns, with the exception of Elliot Lake.
Ontario government policy was that when mines closed and the works abandoned that the government promptly attended and burned the place down.
All that remain are concrete and stone footings.
It ain’t like such places as Colorado, littered with abandoned boom towns and mine works.

  8. One is MICHIPICOTEN HARBOUR, on the shore of Lake Superior not far from Wawa, Ontario … the town (and it’s huge wooden wharf, for loading the ore carriers) was abandoned after the iron mine closed. We played there as a young kids in about 1963, so it was likely abandoned after WW2. Quite a fascinating place for boys to play back in the day when we were ALL ordered by our Moms after breakfast to “Go outside and play until dinner when your father gets home.” It was likely dangerous as hell, yet we played there almost every day all Summer and survived (WITHOUT HELMETS, life jackets or any adult supervision!) to tell about it. Today that would be called child abuse, but back then it was called “boyhood”.

  9. I particularly like the abandoned house on Swan Island (with the satellite dish in front.) I don’t know about Ontario but the prairies have their fair share of ghost towns, a lot by places that seemed to have had a rail line and grain elevator.

  10. The Eco-freaks,Tree Huggers,Gaia Worshippers and Grano;a Munchers will be disapointed beccuase HOW GREEN WAY MY VALLEY isnt a enviromental themed movie its about the plight of Welish Coal Miners just the oppisite
