  1. that’s my bet, and I think there could be some demos that vote with the GOP to veto proof some items. They may try that are an a$$ saving move.

  2. Yes, you can tell the Louisiana voters were sending a message to the Dems…after losing a seat held for ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO YEARS!

“In other Louisiana results, former Democratic Gov. Edwin Edwards lost a House race intended to revive his political career after he served eight years in federal prison on racketeering charges. Mr. Edwards fell to Republican Garret Graves, a former adviser to Gov. Bobby Jindal . Mr. Cassidy vacated the seat to run for Senate.
Republicans will hold at least 246 House seats come January, according to election results Saturday, giving the GOP a majority that matches the party’s post-World War II high during Democratic President Harry S. Truman’s administration.”
Hey, when your running a known criminal for racketeering and putting them up for election in Congress, it say something about the quality of candidates in the party.

  3. lev, did they not change the filibuster rule this year or last to 50 plus 1 to carry any vote? I am sure I read that. of course with the dems in control they will happily sway back and forth. the GOP will have to force them to use the rule they created this jan.

  4. I am yet to be convinced that the GOP will get it right. Political expediency vs philosophical commitment. The Tea Party had valid points.
Whomever represents the GOP next go around will like like a baby compared to Hilary. Also highly likely to come from the South.

  5. Oldguy,
They were tinkering with it, though don’t know how far they got.
Reid was all upset about Cruz doing filibuster, he may have changed his plan seeing, as is common phrase, the writing on the wall.
