Nothing says “we are righteous and entitled to deference” like smashing and looting a local woman’s cake shop. And smashing and looting the mini-market that Michael Brown robbed and then running away laughing, and looting the local phone shop, and burning down the local pharmacy, and burning down the local auto spares business, and the local pizza restaurant, and the local beauticians, and then shooting at the firemen who are trying to put those fires out before other people lose their livelihoods too.

There will be nowhere safe for Officer Wilson in the United States, especially so if the federal government decides to go “double jeopardy” on him to appease the masses. We should offer him political asylum in Canada. That would be a nice reversal of Obama’s snubbing all his one-time friends.

Insurance companies have a million ways to avoid paying,and “war or acts of civil disobedience” is written in to policies I have here in safe old Canader, I doubt very much American insurance companies would miss the same “out”.

Yep a long time back in law school (shhhhh) we learned that ALL insurance life, auto, fire, etc even maritime/cargo policies exclude “war or riot”.
All them fools updating insurance recently in Ferguson are just that…fools.
As far as Miss DuBose’ happy news…bless their heart…..empathy is not my strong suite but…..I’ll make this exception.

What matters is culture. This is such a thing as a successful culture and an unsuccessful culture. There are two clear examples: Haiti and the Dominican Republic are two halves of the same island, with basically the same people. The Dominican has the rule of law and the English tradition, Haiti doesn’t. A second example is North and South Korea: same people, different cultures, wildly different results.
