“When the President does it, that means that it is not illegal”

Must be Friday;

Up to 30,000 missing emails sent by former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner have been recovered by the IRS inspector general, five months after they were deemed lost forever.
The U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) informed congressional staffers from several committees on Friday that the emails were found among hundreds of “disaster recovery tapes” that were used to back up the IRS email system.

  1. Friday, and seventeen days after the election. How many more House and Senate seats would the Republicans have won had these e-mails been discovered, say, October 21?
Actually, I suspect that some incriminating e-mails have been “lost” IYKWIMAITYD

  2. I think that some people are realizing that their cover is going to be awfully absent on Jan 21, 2017, if not before.

  3. Nobody in his right mind believes the ‘craptastic’ excuse that they couldn’t find the tapes sooner.
The tapes were buried precisely because it would harm the Dems electoral chances. You can take that all the way to the Federal Reserve Bank…
If they wanted to they could have produced the tapes in less than a week.
They don’t have a smoking gun, it’s more like smoking artillery.
And you wonder why you are still pulling shrapnel out of the hole in your wallet?

  4. I remember reading somewhere that “disaster recovery tapes” were only programmed to open ‘after’ an election, :)))

  5. Someone in that narcissistic regime must have had enough “Grubbering” and decided to get busy. Grubbering the American people is all this creep and his administration will do, they have the Caesar syndrome and will rule like such until the good Americans demand his removal. He is a dangerous man that Thomas Sowell summed up perfectly in an essay a while back.

  6. Under the shlt-storm of his “amnesty” he releases Guantanamo terrorists and the long-lost tapes.

  7. This should tie Elijah Cummings to the IRS corruption,or Not.
It is fascinating how those that pretend to uphold the Law will run and hide (make a deal)when actual control changes.
The media will obviously suggest that Republicans NOT make any fuss. It is that time when we find out who are the token enablers.
Why would/should Republicans NOT impeach Obama, what big bad thing has hurt Republicans when they protected the USA from Democrat corruption. They are on top of the Hill, if they do nothing 2016 will be lost.

  8. Lets hope that there is enough in those to send this biatch to jail for a lot of years. Naw… not going to happen…..vy434e

  9. Impeachments are very political, very messy, very iffy, efforts.
The standard American style criminal prosecution strategy is to start
with the little fish and build a pyramid, layer by layer, until the big fish
on the peak is caught in the net. That way, time wears away at the
biggest perp and his close associates until their defense falls apart.

  10. rd, the Congress’ are both sworn in on 3rd January, unless this day falls on a friday or weekend. It’s only the executive on 21st of February.
Would have liked to have heard what Rep. Trey Gowdy had to say when he heard this…

  11. I knew someone would find them. This is gonna be fun. Like we all knew here nothing really goes missing after you post it.

  12. I have a suspicion that there are a couple of things at play here; the IRS has finally realized that that claiming the dog ate their homework makes them look incompetent mutts. So five months later they find thee ails. Ok, does anyone actually believe that they will be the original emails or a sanitized version?

  13. The number of Presidential pardon issued at the end of this Presidential term will so greatly outnumber any other President by ………………………

  14. I am shocked. This has jarred my world view. Having woken this morning with the feel of solid ground under my I feel as if I am cognisantly thrown adrift, a castaway, unmoored(as it were) from the carefully nurtured trust that I had in government.
The future now, is unfamiliar. If the only sure things in life are death and taxes, then what future do Americans have, when the IRS can’t be trusted?

  15. the people of the US have lost their way. the level of corruption would impress a mafia don. I for one do not see how they can ever regain the freedom that they are throwing away in the name of liberal socialism. the president lies every time he opens his mouth. 60% of all americans get some form of money from the government. their debt, real and unfunded costs exceed 117 trillion dollars. the stock market has been kept buoyant with 85 billion dollars a month of “quantitative easing”, or as real people say, inflating the currency. the followers of islam are slowing spreading their cancer throughout the country and no one cares. I just do not see a very pleasant future for the country.

  16. Have faith my contemporary. Canada is slowly, as is necessary when dealing with enemedia, coming back from decades of Progressive conning through brokerage politics. It takes a person of integrity who is able to bring forward younger people of integrity to break a trend of sliding into into populist politics.
I was for a very short time, coming from the wrong side of the tracks, a supporter of Socialist Government. This became evident quickly as an unsuccessful goal. People from my, born-into-class, grabbed any government money they could, either because of desperate need or laziness. The shame of freeloading was sufficiently strong at that time anyone so who required the help normally moved on to self-sufficiency and self-satisfaction.
The lazy were unable to do this because with one hand out for welfare and the other under the table they just couldn’t find employment. I became a Conservative supporter after the more egregious example of Liberal Party governing deliberately playing one part of the country against the other, in their effort to become the “normally governing Political Party. This catering to special interests developed and enveloped the Canadian political scene for decades.
It was only after the Enemedia was unable to hide the malfeasance and corruption of Brokerage Politics any longer the majority of voters had enough sense to make a trial run at a change with a minority government. This developed in stages through a period of vilified Reform Party and an Alliance Party to a liberal republican Conservative Political Party.
Canada is also a Federation of States as is the U.S.A. However we identify the States as Provinces. It would not have been wise to call our separate regional entities “States” after the American Civil War. The War of the States could have easily swung North at that time and therefore a Province proved more descriptive and obviously sufficiently different.
The country of America,ha a much larger population and therefore a much greater difficulty in making a change. The reduction of the level for feeling and of the gaming of entitlement is still in the search for a capable person. A person of integrity
America is also still in the “reform” stage of identifying the level of Brokerage Politics and the amount of out and out corruption endemic throughout the County Process, which you as a contemporary of mine understand is how Federal Government controls local funding.
The actual bold outreach of the present Federal Government for autocracy may be the catalyst for significant change. Encouragement of new leadership for special interest groups and I do not mean the false dialogue of global self-interest funded groups, will replace the cottage industry self-congatulations and entitlement of the present leadership.
I do think Canada will continue cutting the U.S.A. apron strings as our population continues to expand and we move away from the debilitating effect of multi-culturism to a continually changing melding process of additional traditions in Canadian Culture.
“old white guy” you are, as many of my friends in the U.S. remain very proud, but concerned about the future of the “Great Experiment”.
May I end my rant with a note of comfort. Only in America, can a country with more than 330 million people provide both shelter and sustenance for all but a very small percentage of the population, on an ongoing compassionate basis. The “Great Experiment” will continue once a clearing out of scurrilous political vested interests is undertaken. This plus a steady and slow road against enemedia will reduce the level of Brokerage Politics.
