  1. Too funny was just reading this article:

Nice write up and pics, Mark Reckless lives up to last name and comes up roses, for all the manure hurled in his direction.
A spirited win despite an avalanche of Tories stomping the hustings to convince voters otherwise.
Congratulations Nigel & Mark, & campaign workers on a delightful result.
The pint of Guinness didn’t hurt either… 🙂

  2. Immigration seems to be their big issue. UKIP wants to stop control it. They won big.
    GOP Are You Listening???

  3. A full house UKIP win in the upcoming election would be the equivalent of the Glorious Revolution of 1688.
It might also save Britain from destruction.

    Britons, never,never,never shall be slaves.”

  4. What great news for the Conservatives, and the right in general in the UK.
Yes, the Conservatives lost a lot of votes – but nothing like the proportion that Labour lost, let alone the Lib Dems, and that was with a former Conservative MP, who could be expected to take some support with him
Conservatives lost about 29% of their support, but Labour (not the party in power remember, so no “mid-term blues”) lost 29% and the Lib Dems lost a barely-credible 94%! Greens were up, but that only embarrassed the Lib Dems it was not enough to mean anything.

  5. The correction is underway in the UK, and if you are part of the corrupt oppressive Brussels based political cartel oppressing the UK you should be booking a flight to the continent – because a UKIP majority will investigate corruption and unconstitutional behaviours and indict.

  6. Canada and the UK have elections next year. How many heads would explode if UKIP and CPC both won majorities? It would be a sight to behold!

  7. It’s good to see the anti-establishment blooming but UKIP really should take to heart what Richard North says about the UK exiting the EU and how to go about it. On a straight referendum as it is, OUT will lose.

  8. Not sure how I did that, but to correct my list Labour lost 41% of their vote, against 29% the Conservatives lost.

  9. It is nice to see that the common people are scared and fighting back to save England from the cliff that they are headed toward but is it already to late for that country?

  10. Funniest thing of all is that the Labour Party is trying to spin this as win for themselves because David Cameron’s party lost! The tortured logic of the left never ceases to amaze me.
Were I in the UK I would vote for UKIP in a second. Cameron is useless, and Labour is Labour.

  11. It’s only a byelection, so not too much should be read into it. But several things are clear. Labour is truly circling the drain, at least in that riding, and its green voters are bleeding off to the marginal Green Party. And UKIP is wiping up lots of votes from disgruntled Tories. Every one of the major parties in Parliament is losing support, and not one of them has any answers to the key issues driving the voters, immigration. That’s why UKIP is cleaning up right now. As for the rest, Labour is bleeding badly, and the Lib-Dems are done like dinner.
In short, Davey-boy has a serious warning shot. If he doesn’t come up with something compelling pretty soon to stop the bleeding, he’s done. A backbench revolt could well be the end of him if his MPs see themselves going down with him. They’ve tried slander and lying about UKIP as a strategy, and we see from the numbers above how well that’s worked.
