So have you heard the latest theory that is being bandied about by people who are scared to death that we are all being tricked like we have never been tricked before? Have you heard the theory? Here’s the theory: There is no Democrat catastrophe that’s going to happen today. The Democrat loss, while it may happen — it’s a midterm election with a sitting Democrat in the Oval Office — is by no means going to be anywhere as big as the media and a lot of Democrats out there are trying to convince us it’s going to be.
The theory holds that this is a giant trap that has been set so that Republicans and commentators and conservatives run around in the days leading up to the election talking about the massive victory for the Republicans, the catastrophic defeat for the Democrats, but that isn’t really going to happen. The Democrat loss is gonna be nowhere near — this is the theory — the Democrat loss is gonna be nowhere near catastrophic. It’s not gonna be anywhere near as bad as most people think it’s gonna be, which will then permit the media and the Democrats tomorrow to claim outright victory, a moral victory, if you will. Instead of being shut out 28 to nothing, they’ll lose 28-21. Came close.

  1. It will be interesting to see if all the fraud and cheating pulls them out of the fire or not. It might not.

  2. I’m hoping to be able to congratulate my American cousins tonight.
    Democrats can be tricksie fraudsters though and considering my disappointment in November 012
    I will be waiting patiently, the final outcome is up for grabs and Leftists are the grabbiest.
    If the Dems lose big, the thing I want to see the most is the sour grapes fingers pointing at Obama calling him out down and dirty for their losses.

  3. A Democrat win would mean one of two things:
    The lefties are as good at cheating as we suspected; or
    The Nation is not broke enough yet.

  4. On the one hand, I actually think that the magnitude of the Republican victory probably has been overhyped, and there will be a relative letdown.
    On the other hand, truly I don’t believe it will make a difference either way. The republican leadership is weak and not true conservatives. Obama will probably get more compromise out of them than he did before the elections. The difference between the two side is minimal – the republicans are merely less bad. The great idea of USA we (I, anyway) grew up with is going down the tubes either way.
    When half the voters live off the government, it’s over until some cataclysmic event re-orders the political system.

  7. I think Rush is right as far as he goes. Going a little further the secondary reason for all this sweep talk is to suppress the Republlican vote. Not gonna work but I’m sure it’s what is going on. Just remember you gotta beat them by five or they’ll cheat their way in like they did in Minnesota.

    Depends on what difference you’re looking for. In the best case scenario of a Republican Tsunami, I’d just be happy to see a Democrat civil war with a large number of high profile Dem figures publically dumping on Obama.
    I’ll laugh ’til I cry at the infighting and the blunting of their agendas and ambitions when they realise the level of public rejection, which should send a lot of them into therapy where Liberal psychoanalysts will soothe their egocentric boo boos.
    I saw plenty of analysis showing the U.S. is hooped either way before the 2012 election.
    It’s only a matter of how fast the U.S. unravels like a cheap sweater. My hope is that the Republicans will slow it down until I can shuffle off this mortal coil.
    Of course, if we’re going into a new Ice Age, it’ll be small comfort and while it may warm my cockles, I’ll much prefer nature gas for my home and my dinner.
    Saving my ability to obtain light and heat is a bigger deal than amnesty for illegals in an America which is already irreparably on the skids and I do believe the Republicans are going to curb the excesses of the EPA and other out-of-control Federal Alphabet agencies.
    To me, it’s enough of a boon to imagine Obama, forlorn and in disrepute by his former fawners and flunkies, ever more on the links whacking hopelessly away at a little white ball and eschewing even the duties of office that he deigned to attend these last 6 years.

  9. Democrats will win by the length of a crooked finger. It was rigged that way from the very beginning.
    Meanwhile, their journalistic fraud confederates have spent the day writing their “Democrats come from behind” stories. That’s how they’ll bury all the vote fraud allegations.

  10. It might be pleasant to believe that Americans have finally tired of the s**t that Obama feeds them, Obama and the other Democrats, but I am skeptical that it is true. Certainly his approval ratings seem to be fixed in the low `40s.

  19. Democrats loose Colorado senate race(mail-in ballots);perhaps the lefties are not as good at cheating as we suspected.

  21. It’s great that Scott Walker won. The unions have been out to get him; this was his third election in three years (remember recall). This is a significant loss for public service unions that we can only hope will also have repercussions North of the border.

    Hopefully Joni is true to her word and puts her experience of castrating hogs to good use and cuts some pork in Washington.
    So, the slackers in the Wisconsin government unions could not beat Scott Walker.

  24. A fine repudiation of Obama, ebola and wide open borders. I could wish it had been harsher, but for practical purposes this is harsh enough.
    Best part, Hillary’s guy Cotton got -crushed- in Arkansas. That doesn’t look good on her 2016 resume.

  30. Yeah well, Harry Reid had earlier commented that everything hinged on IOWA and that it was critical that Ernst be defeated….
    Not that Harry is a Nostrodamus but he is a key donkey strategist…..that counts for a lot.
    Harry is having a bad night….it could get worse.

  32. If they only had a leader who could rival the president they’d be made in the shade. I’m sure some of the presidential hopefuls will try and come out and take a leadership role but I’m not sure it’s going to work out.

  34. I’m watching CNN international for the first time in a very long time, the whole panel is democrats, They’re flailing and their heads are exploding about how none their hateful strategies to brand the republicans didn’t work , its fun to watch.

  38. I hope Scott Walker runs for the nomination for 2016. He is the least establishment contender, and I would have hopes he might do something different, as he has done in Wisonsin. Seems like the establishment is already pimping Kasich from Ohio, but he would be only marginally better than Hillary. I’ll have to call my liberal brother in NC today to make fun of him over Hagen’s loss.

  42. Elections are nothing more than ritual mass hysteria… As George Carlin once said – thinking that your (single) vote will make any difference is a fool’s errand. About the same chance as finding a bible in a brothel.
