What is the biological purpose of Ebola? Ebola protects Western Colobus monkeys from over-predation by chimpanzees when their habitats become unstable. In turn, Ebola spreads from chimpanzees to humans when humans encroach on chimpanzee habitat.
In short, the way to end Ebola is not by coming up with a vaccine. The way to end Ebola is to stop encroaching on chimpanzee habitat.

This disgusts me.
The top story on the CBC’s’CANADA’ page is about a facebook posting by a young Islamic man.
” He insists people shouldn’t make a connection between terrorism and Islam.”
I can overlook the kid’s posting, but for the CBC to make this their leading story is appalling.
They are spitting on our soldier’s graves.

It’s a pity that a video like this one would go way over CBC’s head.

It never fails to amaze me the lack of expertise the so called experts on the American news networks actually have. Because of the home grown terrorist activity north of their border I have heard several talking heads talking about securing the northern border. What part of home grown do they not understand? There is a reason why there are ten times less border agents along the Canadian border: Not many Canadian families wade across the St Lawrence to sneak into the US. You will find us patiently waiting at the border crossing with their American money and coupons in hand, ready to hit the nearest mall.
The experts sound more like the CBC gaggle.
wallyj:
I agree 100%. The CBC showed little or no respect for those who died or were injured in the last two terrorist events. And don’t try going against the CBC, they’ll delete your comments unless it’s pro-Islamic.
I had this comment deleted form CBC.Ca last night. ”Looking at some of the comments on this site today, I see that we need to fear Canada’s leftist supporters a lot more than we need to fear terrorists. I see negative reactions to hate speech legislation…………”
A lot of the readers were angered by the fact that the Harper administration is looking at reviewing hate speech laws that would prevent potential and home grown terrorists from making derogatory comments against Canada. I was always under the impression that such legislation was already in force and dating back to the Trudeau administration. But then that’s the CBC, and not the real world.
Imagine melting down all the weapons that are seized from Islamic extremists, and forging them into something like this!!
I could find a lot of uses for this baby!

So you think the media is not left wing and basically make up stories. They refuse to report on stories that don’t flatter Obama and the left.

” And don’t try going against the CBC ”
Yeah but…
The CBC and I have a history.
I’m very aware that they will delete comments or hold them forever if they don’t meet their journalistic “standards”.

It is wrong. I know it,you know it, pretty well everyone here knows it. This site along with a few other, and Sun News, is making a difference. It is a slow process, but it is necessary.

Now our western feminist wimmin will rise up as one in outrage, won’t they?
In case you’d somehow managed to forget it, I’d like to remind you that lefty do-gooders are often horrible narcissists who are barely in touch with reality. (Also, someone named “Kaci” is probably mental. Her parents obviously were, and these things tend to be genetic. I mean, how are you supposed to pronounce it? “Khaki”? “Kay-cee”? “Kassee”? “Ka-see“? These people’s first impulse on spawning was to make life difficult for as many people on the planet as possible by failing to give their daughter’s [stupid made-up] name an intelligible spelling. And you just know she’d be really indignant if you pronounced it wrong. Anyway…)

“Nurse and CDC employee Kaci Hickox”: I am a nurse who has just returned to the U.S. after working with Doctors Without Borders in Sierra Leone – an Ebola-affected country. I have been quarantined in New Jersey. This is not a situation I would wish on anyone, and I am scared for those who will follow me.
I am scared about how health care workers will be treated at airports when they declare that they have been fighting Ebola in West Africa. I am scared that, like me, they will arrive and see a frenzy of disorganization, fear and, most frightening, quarantine.”
That’s because there’s a fairly high chance you’ve contracted Ebola you moron!!!!!!
We are the only sane people left. We must band together.
Our Western feminists are silent on the abuse of women under sharia right here in Canada. When women are covered from head to toe in burkas in our streets, that is sharia and it is abuse, it should not be allowed in this or any western country. Women forced to be tented are forced to shun our society, we cannot communicate with someone whose face we cannot see.

“Habib Nasrallah, a civilian member of the RCMP in Ottawa, also reached out to CBC News to share his thoughts on radicalized individuals. He wanted to make it clear Islam does not condone terrorist activity. ‘There are Muslims out there who are not insane, who understand Islam the way it should be understood.'”
“not insane?” there’s a telling difference in cultural standards.

The irrelevancy of the “lone wolf” jihadist argument:
“A Muslim does not wake up one day and spontaneously decide to commit mass-murder. No one is radicalized out of thin air. Muslims are radicalized by the doctrine. To be sure, there is often an intermediary between the doctrine and the person who becomes a terrorist — it might be a terrorist organization in the field or an extremist imam in the mosque. But it could also very well be the jihadist literature a person reads while alone in his room. Such literature is liberally available on the Internet and in countless American mosques and Islamic community centers. It is a staple of Muslim Brotherhood indoctrination efforts, and the Saudi regime — to take the most notorious example — has spent billions of dollars propagating it worldwide.”

“What It Takes To Transport 112 Tonnes Of Arctic Ice Over 3,000 Kilometres”
“You’ve seen the pictures. The time lapses of glaciers shrinking into patchworks of white, the videos of ice crumbling into the ocean. But the Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson wants you to really see how quickly the ice is melting — and to do so, he and a Greenlandic geologist fished 112 tons of ice out of a Greenland fjord and shipped it to Copenhagen.
The project is called Ice Watch, and it’s the culmination of months of work between Eliasson’s team and Minik Rosing, a noted geologist whose name you might know from his discovery of the oldest living evidence of photosynthesis on Earth. It’s an unlikely partnership on paper, but both the artist and scientist have a common goal: To show people exactly how crucial climate change is. And to do so, they have undertaken what you could discribe as a single, monumental act of data visualisation.
It all began in a fjord off of Nuuk, the 16,000-person capital of Greenland. There, using what look like simple straps and levers, a team managed to fish twelve blocks of ice out of the frigid waters — totaling some 112 tons of ice-blue freeze.”
