    The CBC did not start lying when the Copyright issues came to to light in the last few weeks.
    The CBC was lying to Canadians as early as 1962, and that’s about how far back I can recall. They may have been lying long before that but I was too young and not interested in news..
    I was just a kid when the doctors in Saskatchewan went on strike in 1962. My aunt was a psychiatric nurse in Regina; she was interviewed by CBC TV simply because the doctors she was working with didn’t want to talk to the media. She told the CBC the real reason why the doctors were going on strike. It wasn’t so much about Medicare as it was about the province of Saskatchewan bringing in doctors from England and other countries, doctors who would be competing against established physicians and surgeons who were educated, and had worked for years establishing a practice here in Sask.
    When she watched the news that evening, not a word of what she had said was aired. Simply because it went against the communist manifesto that the CCF government adhered to at that time, and that CBC supported all the way.
    The more things change, the more they stay the same. I’m bilingual, I did several interviews with Radio-Canada over the years. They were no different, anything that was pro-Conservative was deleted from the interviews.
