Trudeau poll needs some help.
We’ll wait until the results are in and we’ll find out if they’re brain dead/stupid/lazy louts who love the dole from Alberta or if they want steady employment.
Yes’n weez New Brunswickers are sure nuff hopin weezin cun finds us somes oil so as weez can be smart liken you cowboys.
it sure nuff worked for the newfs.
Alward pushed fracking and balanced budgets and neither is found..sakes. Them injuns and horrible socialist-unions saw to it. but we got conservative federals to foot the bill. Makework capital projects to siphon more oil cash from the west for the great beachs and lobster boils and keep the westerners thinking we’re worth it,..H.effin Christ. it could be worse.
I’m voting independant.
“hopin weezin cun finds us somes oil”
Fracking is done on already ‘found’ conventional wells that have gone dry or from shale, ‘find’ has nothing to do with it. I hope New Brunswick votes for economic development and starts to pay her own bills instead of continuing to leech off of Alberta.
I missed where the interview discussed abortion, maybe it didn’t.
‘Forced’ to work elsewhere in the same industry? C’mon.
Those workers who are here in the west are here because they want to work.
Maybe those politicos who think fracking is too dangerous for nova scotia or new brunswick should suggest to those workers that they stay home and not engage in such dangerous employment. And maybe the pious governments of those provinces that find the practice so dangerous (disgusting?) should refuse the transfer payment money from AB and SK that is created through fracking.
Quebec is just as guilty. They refuse to develop their oil and gas preferring to take transfer money from the provinces that do.
Makes you wonder, what is the glue that keeps this country together?
When pimping the mindless middle for votes one shouldn’t get too wrapped up in logic, morality, reason or economics. It’s all about the Conservative’s sneer versus the better dressed Liberal with nicer teeth and hair.
“…. what is the glue that keeps this country together? ”
By all accounts,it’s the CBC. Maybe if NB won’t frack,CBC should build more broadcasting station in that Province. Surely there’s a Rick Mercer or some other great talent in NB!
Maybe even a “Little Mosque on the Bay of Fundy”!
gonna run out of other peoples money.
Oh well, it’s not as if the many stupidities that plague NB and so many other provinces are forced on unwilling populaces that have no options, is it?
“…it sure nuff worked for the newfs.”
I’m not getting the humor here. It did “work for the Newfs.” Saskatchewan and Newfoundland have both in the last ten years gone from long-term have-not status to prosperity. If you’d told people as late as 1990 that such a thing was about to happen, few would have believed it.
Not many would have believed Ontario would soon be drawing equalization either.
