I watched a doc on the Colorado River. Apparently they set water rights for the river in the early ’20’s. These rights were based on river volume readings for 20 years prior. It is now determined that 6.45% more of the river is allocated than what is historically produced. Not only that but ‘tree ring’ studies indicate that the last 200 years have been ‘wetter’ than normal.
So, no, the situation in the American west is more a issue of over use and population than it is ‘global warming’.
Conclusion has to be to move ‘Lost Wages’ to Queen Charlotte Islands. Haida can deal cards instead of worrying about Northern Gateway oil polluting their coast line. I’m surprised no one has suggested this solution before.

We saw this occur many times over the decades with the major lakes in Manitoba,only difference was in those days people didn’t get to panic and make apocalyptic statements.
I remember reading last year the “chicken littles” predicting the Great lakes were going dry!!!
Don’t the perpetually hysterical EVER learn? In my years I’ve seen SO many end-of world -as -we-know-it predictions,(and every one wrong)I’ve become immune to it.
The sea is rising,the glaciers are melting, islands are disappearing, the sea ice is disappearing at the North or South pole,the sockeye salmon are about to become extinct, flooding will destroy the Prairies,we’ll never see ice on the Thames,and on and on.

Many Saskatchewan lakes water levels were also down about 10 years ago and now are up again. It is called rain.
Just after Gore released his “documentary” Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer (leading Donkeys) made a tour of Greenland in July.
They returned and announced with great fanfare they had seen global warming….Greenland IS MELTING…..
Of course….they mistook SUMMER for global warming….and ignored questions regarding returning in February……
NOAA had predicted 2005, the year of Katrina would be a low hurricane year. After Katrina, they predicted (and so did the National Effin’ Georgraphic) that the next year would have a record number of named storms. It didn’t – back to low numbers.
NOAA has all the predictive ability of the average celebrity psychic – cut off their funding and use the money for something useful.
