And no foot baths / prayer rooms facing Mecca?
Why should only dogs have special amenities?
Another project: a dog park, when on three sides of us is wilderness. It’s ridiculous.
Don’t dogs already had amenities? Aren’t fire hydrant mandatory around condos?
My retriever looks at me funny when I ask her what amenities she needs? Then she turns into a pointer and points towards a treat jar. I think I qualify for a tax break.
Oh marc that will be the immovable object meets the irresistable force. Those 2 requirements cannot co exist.
And people wonder why there is an audience for messenger like Ford.
So I can put a pig run next to the mosque downtown? Wow.This could be fun! Why aren’t these people in a psych ward?
Couple of points on this matter.
1. This will drive the Muslims in Ontario, crazy and that is good. Maybe some of them will leave.
2. Many people only have their pets for friends, so that is important for them.
3. I have no problem with the pampering of pets, it is that activity that is bssed in and promotes love … we need that.
4. When you consider the short miserable lives so many animals experience on our planet …. at our hands …. the least we can do is make it a pleasurable life for some animals. Dare I say it’s good Karma.
5. You cannot trust anyone who doesn’t like and respect animals.
6. Did I mention that this rule will drive Ontario Muslims crazy. That is a big one for me.
I think that covers it. Woof!
Time to cut Toronto loose!
Don’t believe a word of it, folks. This is just a cover scheme to provide housing for the flood of gangsters, terrorists, drug-dealers, and gang-members that are heading for sanctuary.

Toronto: old Algonquin word for “turbo-charged toilet”.
Jamie…I think you have it nailed.
Interesting photo in the STAR regarding that little bit of Toronto Insanity….not one over 30. It is always that demographic that wants “Government” to do this and “Government” to do that. No thought as to WHO pays. Typical Liberal/NDP thought process…so goes the turbo charged toilet….as does the rest of the bathroom (GTA).
I often get recruiters after me for positions in Ontario. I speak with them, let them know I work in the Oil Sands – make X amount of $ and if their client is willing to to double my salary/pay my move there and back..I would consider it. So far no one has taken me up on it.
Didn’t Vancouver outlaw door knobs? They’re all nucking futts.
Yeah well even a stopped clock is right twice a day…
McSquinty made it a right to have a pet and a clothesline.
Will these amenities accommodate the transgendered pets as well?
I think all the door knobs must have moved to Toronto.
Nick O’Teen said, “Will these amenities accommodate the transgendered pets as well?”
I would hope so. Kathleen Wynne owns a dog like that.
“Not that there’s anything wrong with it”. – Jerry Seinfeld
I see that all of the above are giving this the respect it deserves.
No they didn’t outlaw doorknobs, they changed the building code to the newer style handles that are popular in hospitals and old age homes. Not surprising really, that’s been gaining traction for years. When my grandmother was living on her own(with stage 4 cancer), we switched all the doorknobs in the apartment(landlord paid for it) to the handle style because she couldn’t always grab the knob to turn it.
My iguana tells me this is pure discrimination as it’s all about dogs. Where are the requirements for keeping the entire condo building a nice toasty 28 degrees for lizards’ comfort? Where are the mandatory climbing trees indoors? What about requiring tasty leafy greens in all the landscaping as well as indoors?
Canine privilege!
We’re short of faults? Don’t blame me…

Amen.
Which is why I get furious when people prattle on about “the legacy we are leaving the next generation” (think of the children!) with debts and deficits.
To hell with ’em. When I start seeing mass demonstrations of under-Thirties with signs like GOVERNMENT STOP SPENDING OUR FUTURE or REDUCE GOVERNMENT SPENDING NOW then maybe I’ll think of the children.
