    But here’s something that may help perk all those demoralized Ontario Tories about there: In a weird way, their defeat doesn’t matter. They’ll get their agenda through, anyway. In substance, if not in name.
    Who won is, in a big way, immaterial. Oh, the result matters to the participants, of course, and in terms of the dismal message it sends about how tolerant the Ontario voter is of Liberal abuse and mismanagement. But in the big picture, who is premier or what party won the most seats wasn’t the real issue.

I take some comfort knowing that from this date forward, Wynne has no one else to blame for Ontario’s budgetary shortfalls, that the quickest way to incite anger from the unions and left is to say “no” to their moving goal post demands, and that the credit rators are about to say “no”, that she is faced with having to reverse on every big ticket item in her list of promises.
    It’s all good until you run out of other peoples money.

    Ontario’s public workers unions can now swing elections and effectively give themselves raises from your taxes…which will necessarily sky rocket.
    The leftist parties and their unions will continue to grow and intrench an unbeatable, permanent, voting block. You can stay and feed them with your taxes or escape to jurisdictions that still recognize hard work and freedom.
    Ontario has spoken, big European style, socialist, heavily indebted government, is their choice. You need to look after your own future.

  29. I live in Ontario & work in Quebec. Look at the distribution of seats on a provincial map. Us rural dwellers in southern and eastern Ontario all voted Conservative; we’re not insane masochists. It’s the public service drones and unions who voted for Wynne. And it’s down to Hudak’s stupidity – when he said he would eliminate 100,000 public sector jobs, I knew he’d blown it. You say that after you’ve been elected, not before.
