On Wednesday, Clinton said that the abduction of the girls by Boko Haram was “abominable, it’s criminal, it’s an act of terrorism and it really merits the fullest response possible, first and foremost from the government of Nigeria.” Clinton said that as Secretary of State she had numerous meetings with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and had urged the Nigerian government to do more on counterterrorism.
What Clinton didn’t mention was that her own State Department refused to place Boko Haram on the list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2011, after the group bombed the UN headquarters in Abuja. The refusal came despite the urging of the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, and over a dozen Senators and Congressmen.
There’s a twitter campaign, no less. Monster Hunter International is calling it “Operation Pouty Face.”

The fact that this boko atrocity was dredged up to give
the MSM a fake reason to ignore the Benghazi developments
in Washington is really transparent. The fact that Boko Haram
operates with semi impunity in the Muslim areas of Nigeria, plus
it has the option of crossing several nearby international borders
around its home base area to frustrate pursuit by Nigerian Forces

Every Congressman should sign a letter to Obama, requesting Congressional testimony by his State Dept. as to why Boko was not only id’d as terrorist, but marked for a high intensity drone or cruise missile campaign. Nigeria is a failed state, and someone should deal with these killers, down to the last man.
If Barry wants to, he could send some SEALs and kill a ton of them. Or, is a bullshit declaration by Michelle, and the horors of Muslim enslavement, all these children can hope for? If Obama does nothing, we will know Benghazi was not a screwup, but a demonstration that Obama will do nothing to stop terrorists.

Take the example of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt: Obama demanded that the previously-banned Muslim Brotherhood be prominently included in the audience of his first speech in Cairo, and supported their deposing Mubarak, and it seems that the number of Muslim Brotherhood members in the Obama government has ensured that they have remained the favoured faction in Egypt by Obama. Even when ousted by the Egyptian military for attempting to permanently entrench the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt together with Shari’a and making all Coptics second or third-class citizens, Obama’s government was still backing the Muslim Brotherhood, and seems committed to such support.
Recently, statements such as the “Washington has advocated a wider economic and social-justice agenda to counter the dogmatic Islamists and increase national loyalty among disaffected northern Nigerians. Jonathan has mostly ignored the advice, Carson and others said.” (Washington Post), doesn’t inspire me to believe that the Obama government is interested in wiping out the Boko Haram, but more in supporting them so they can make a negotiated peace with the Nigerian government. I suspect that the US would support some level of autonomy for the Boko Haram-controlled areas, so to make them free to continue their Shari’a inspired violence with supplied food, money and other resources. So just like the Muslim Brotherhood, the Obama government is probably more interested in supporting a ‘kinder, gentler’ Boko Haram instead of having them exterminated off the face of this earth, despite indications that Boko Haram is probably not so interested in the baubles of Civilization that the Obama government thinks is the reason Boko Haram exists.
Give Boko Haram members green cards and gender-studies scholarships. Problem solved.
The feeble excuse given by Carson in the article is simply not credible. That indeed is the question; what’s the real reason Clinton refused to list BH as a terrorist organization?

Boko Haram are muslim in about the way that the Lord’s Resistance Army is christian. If Obama would divert a few of his drones from vaporizing wedding parties in Yemen & use them to guide the Nigerian army that would be a contribution.
Al-Quaeda leadership now calling for these guys to tune it down because they’re giving mujahadeen a bad name.
