That psychiatric approach to suppressing dissent has spread quickly through the intellectual sewers of the Left, with writers everywhere from Daily Kos to Salon diagnosing instances of “RWA” — right-wing authoritarian — disorder among their political rivals. Robert Altemeyer, the father of this asinine school of so-called thought, denies that there exists such a thing as a left-wing authoritarian.

I recall listening to Rush Limbaugh a few years ago and he said that psychiatrists in his Miami market wanted him off the air because he was upsetting their patients by broadcasting opposing views.

Inflexible extremist viewpoints on both ends of the political spectrum are the biggest problem in America and to a growing extent in Canada too. Extremists are dogmatically entrenched in their beliefs and see everyone else as completely wrong while only people who believe like them are right. Only naive fools believe that their side is always right and the other side is always wrong.
Yet as much as the Right in Canada has decried the erosion of society…they have NEVER had the guts to actually do the “heavy lifting” required to move it back to the Right–I’m not talking about voting Conservative in the next election. Right leaning people are sheep who will never fight for their cause. Look at how far the Muslims have made inroads into Western society. Nobody except for a few really brave souls dare to chastise their ways. Why is that?..Because they as a group will f^ck your sh!t up if you cross them.
The Left has a right not to fear us…because we are the sheep and they are the wolves–they feed off the fruits of our labour and laugh at us every time we bleat. Should some of us decide to stand up to them…they send their attack dogs (the cops, the bureaucrats) to break us, ruin us financially or kill us. We were so reasonable that we even allowed the government to disarm us under the guise of public safety–remember when you could buy firearms and ammunition at Canadian Tire or Beaver Lumber–as in they were actually stocked on the shelves? Sites like Small Dead Animals, Blazing Cat Fur, Five Feet of Fury, etc–are great for snarky comments on what the Left is doing….but they don’t really address the most important part of this fight–how to eradicate the Left and their way of thinking. Trying to use reason and logic with those who are unreasonable and illogical will never work. Think of Chamberlain, the epitome of the English upper class politician (reasonable, well-educated,logical) vs Hitler; Churchill and Roosevelt vs Stalin (Stalin won that contest to the detriment of all the countries trapped behind the Iron Curtain all those years).
Enjoy the decline. But what happens when the money runs out and the entrepreneurs and businesses have disappeared? I predict that you right-leaning folks will just bleat a little louder as the wolves take everything you’ve worked for and when those are gone they start to consume you. (They’re burning aborted fetuses in Britain to produce electricity–imagine how much more energy a fully grown human would produce)

What has come out of the Left that has improved humanity?
1. Socialized medicine–doesn’t work.
2. Communism–doesn’t work–couldn’t even feed themselves and relied on grain shipments from the US and Canada.
3. Socialized education–because Leftists who majored in the liberal arts populate school boards and classrooms–doesn’t work–had to explain to my son that “The Patriot” wasn’t a documentary on the American Revolution, had to teach both my boys how to logically “solve for x” in math..because what they were being taught wasn’t logical. I’m gearing up for calculus and algebra just because I know their teachers will not be as good as the teachers I had 35 yrs ago.
4. Welfare–steal money from someone who works and saves and give it to someone who doesn’t.
5. The CPP–see #4 for old people who didn’t work and/or save.
6. Green Energy–see Europe and Ontario for their spectacular fails.
7. Socialism–see Greece, Spain, Italy, France for their spectacular fails.
Just so you know. The Right believes in individual freedom, freedom of thought and speech, the right to defend oneself, logic, industry(ie. the opposite of indolence), property rights, minimal government and to some extent the rule of law as it pertains in the protection of the aforementioned rights not the laws that make people a slave to the government.

This was gradually allowed to happen. People and things were either not challenged at all or not enough. Now conservatives find themselves in ideological and legal lions’ dens.
Everything begins in the home. Start the battle there and work outward.

Do we really want them to destroy what has been built and undermine the foundations that could help restore it? Look what Trudeau did to Canada in the late 60s and 70s. We haven’t recovered from those changes yet. I liken Harper to the cartoon character who is vainly paddling his boat away from the falls but is still slowly, inexorably being drawn towards it.

When the public is ready the politicians send their police, bureaucrats and media minions to destroy the leaders and dishearten the “rebels”. Look at what the IRS is doing to conservatives in the US–The cops in the US and in Canada look more like soldiers in a war zone than the cops I grew up with. One needs only to look at how conservatives are portrayed by the CBC, its US counterparts in the MSM and Hollywood to understand there is a huge propaganda machine whose sole purpose is to discredit conservatism and make the public believe that conservatives are evil. As I’ve said earlier…In Canada we can’t even defend ourselves should the gov’t ever turn the police on us. How many people on your block could (if they wanted to) stop a police assaulter crew trying to break down their neighbour’s door with deadly force? There’s a reason the cops don’t go into certain neighbourhoods that house the most notorious criminals…because everyone in the house and on the block can turn the SWAT team into Swiss cheese–think Detroit and certain parts of Toronto.

When left was aggressive and revolutionary they lost. When they become peaceful administrators they won. They won through saturation and thousands of little victories. There is a lesson in there for us. The point is to be persistent and not to expect a big battle, a SHTF scenario when we will prevail. Does not mean we should not be preparing for it, but Alisky tactics have proven much more successful. We should utilize our enemy’s tools and master them as our own.
Make state try to enforce the unenforceable. That is by far my favourite. For example, during the last winter a municipal government in a certain Southern Ontario town closed all city parks because they got icy or muddy or just not nice enough for limousine liberals to allow the plebs to walk there. And old ladies walking their dogs complained about ugly yellow tape preventing them from entering those parks. So one night, a certain individual took his dog for a walk and cut every piece of tape. You see, he believed that people can decide themselves if it is too icy or too muddy to walk and go back the way the way they came if it did. Within few days the authorities put the tapes back. And so our individual again put his trusty Benchmade in his pocket, took the dog for a walk and at moonlight cut all the tape for every near park. The state put the tape back few days later. Oh well, three times a charm, he took his dog and the knife and… a smile light up his face. Every piece of tape he came to was already cut. Someone else beat him to it. Individuals deciding for themselves: 1, overzealous safety Nazis: 0. Three times they tried and finally gave up. A little victory yet so satisfying.
Speaking of sabotage and forcing them to live by their rules, I think the new twisted mercury light bulbs offer a world of opportunities. What if they started to break inside wash rooms of government buildings? After all they need to be safely and properly disposed off…
The phrase “liberalism is a mental disorder” ….has a much much more truthful ring to it and it just naturally rolls off the tounge.

No. The biggest problem in North America right now, bar none, is the size and scope of government. There is no action government cannot legally take in Canada or the USA now, whereas previously they were constrained by the law or at least by public opinion. Minor functionaries like school principles can have -children- locked down and put through five hour psych exams at their whim. They have no accountability, they are empowered to do this type of thing by law.
