  1. Maybe i’m reading it wrong, but the report linked to seems to contradict itself:
“Last month, Peladeau put to rest rumours of a possible political run while speaking to the Chamber of Commerce in Levis, Que.
“I will not be running in the election,” Peladeau said, noting this is the second time he’s stated publicly that he’s not planning a jump into politics. “I don’t want to talk about it ad infinitum, but I won’t be running.””

  2. Even if you have nothing valuable to offer, being skilled at deception can get you everywhere in politics.
    Or he changed his mind.

  3. Finally the PQ has someone who can get the job done – au revoir dead wood, onward to a better ROC

  4. If Peladeau thinks the PQ is a shoo-in he may be in for a surprise. Anyway all I care about is the impact on Sun News Network. Regarding SNN, I’ve done my best to find out who owns what, and who could do what to whom, but ultimately I just got a headache from the convolutions of the corporate structure.
Bottom line: at this juncture what can I do to ensure that SNN thrives?

  5. Yup. Looks like he can lie with a straight face, or, he can change his ‘principles’ to match a favourable political wind. Both appear to be indispensable skills in politics.

  6. Pure laine national socialist.Remember he changed from Carl to Karl and has basically been a failure outside of the tribe and what daddy did.

  7. The French and their Swiss Cheese principles. Wouldn’t that be like Conrad Black endorsing the NDP and running as one of their candidates.

  8. So, guess we’ll be listening to Era and Co. promoting the virtues of separation. 😉

  9. Well I guess that I have bought my last Sun Newspaper,as long as this guy holds a large amount of their stock I refuse to contribute to his bank account. On the other hand the sooner that whining bunch of self entitled linguistic xenophobes get out of our country the better off Canada will be.

  10. I’ll thank you all not to disparage the good name of anyone trying to get quebec the he!! out of Canada

  11. “Former prime minister Brian Mulroney, who is vice chairman of the Quebecor board of directors,”
So Mulroney was getting big bucks from Paladeau. Brian saw no problems taking in the money from someone who wants to destroy Canada as Mulroney once put his Quebec fight.
Brings back memories of Mulroney bringing his good buddy Lucien Bouchard into the Conservative government cabinet.

  12. What Peladeau does is his right. I may not agree with it but that is his choice.
I am much more concerned about how his politics affects the viability of The Sun News Network and Sun Newspapers that have given us a strong Conservative voice in Canada that has been MIA since The National Post was suborned by Asper.
